Kaltani peered out across Kiast from the palace balcony. A gentle morning breeze caught her long, flowing robes and pressed them against her body, outlining her figure. The smoke trail from Fort Tanisad, still wafted into the air as an ominous plume. Anaya walked out onto the balcony behind her.

“We’re in war again. Aren't we, Mother?”

“Yes. The Quarahi Nation attacked Fort Tanisad. Captured it. I didn’t want you to have to see this. Any of this.”

“How can I become a great ruler like you if I live only in times of peace?”

Kaltani looked over at her daughter. The fear she had for her family. Her people. She saw the same in her daughter. While she was too young to understand the war against the Dominion, she was well aware of the atrocities that being Empress would force her to endure. The stoic expression on Anaya’s face brought a mild comfort that the little girl who once enjoyed counting cloud animals, was now focused on the events shaking her future empire.

“Come Anaya. The Jedi will be here shortly.”

Want to be Aedile?

Starting today, applications are open for the position of Aedile of House Sunrider.

It's both a fun and challenging position that enables you to actively propel your House, your members and even yourself to new heights. Additionally, you would be part of the great Summit and culture that is Odan-Urr.

We are looking for:
* Previous DB experience, or equivalent
* Boundless energy to drive member activity
* Great interpersonal communication and de-escalation skills
* A 24-hour turnaround on all communications including e-mail, Telegram, Trello and Discord
* The willingness to contribute to the House storyline
* The desire to make Sunrider a premier House

Your primary responsibilities will be aiding in:
* Day to day activities including competition creation, monthly reports, member communication and awards
* Fictional world building and story creation
* New member orientation
* Hyping. Everything.

Other responsibilities include:
* Maintaining House Wiki pages
* Directly overseeing the House Battleteam
* Running the House in the absence of the QUA

If this sort of thing interests you, please feel free to apply. Include in your application any past experience you've had in a supervisory position, special skills and any fictional or real world ideas that will benefit the House.

Tython Squadron

If you haven't read the Tython Squadron Report, then you don't know about the great things Tython Squadron is doing, like the monthly series of competitions which can be found here. Master/student Shout out!

Due to what I can only equate to some sort of magic, Rollmaster Gui has been drawing in more and more new members. Such a large influx of people requires a massive effort on our part to train and retain them all so they can fully experience everything this community has to offer. I’m asking that anyone with the time, energy and devotion required; reach out and talk to some of our newer members..

If you're new, this is a great way to learn the ropes as someone takes you around and shows you the ins and outs on your way to Knight. Not only that, but your Master could be your first real friend in the club, often meeting up with you to do some writing, gaming or drawing.

Even better yet, it's TOTALLY FREE!

Now for those of you who wish to be Masters or have been in the past, you know how important being a good Master is for keeping good people in the club (we all have had or have known of Masters who went to get cigarettes and haven't returned). You also know that our club relies heavily on activity, talent and the longevity of its members. Studies show that when a student is guided, they perform better later in life, live longer and go on to become great Masters themselves.

Weekly Hangouts!

Our weekly gaming hangouts have returned in full force! Jump on the Odan-Urr Discord, we would love to lead a game or just chat. Whether it's exploring space during our Role-Play sessions or games like Destiny 2 and SWTOR, it's a great time to meet and relax with your fellow Odanites.

Now if you're an introvert like me and are thinking "But Revak, there are people there" you have nothing to worry about. Everyone is pretty chill and things never get too crazy. Even if you don't want to play anything, just get on and talk with your fellow nerds.
