House Ventress #7: Pro Bowl time!

header

Hey hey Ventress. As promised this, this is going to be a big report. Now I know it’s going to be a big read, I’ll try to make this as pain less as possible. Sorry this is a little late, I had a few hiccups in RL, but should be back on track now. We have the Pro Bowl now officially started and lots to get through, so let’s strap in and get to it.

Dark Brotherhood

Clan Plagueis

There are some amazing reports for Plagueis. Check them out!

Our Dread Lord made the first announcement of the Aliso Summer Festival, and teased us about the upcoming Pro-Bowl! Check out the announcement above for all the details. Yay!!! Plagueis Consul Report #28: Summer Fun Time

TuQ gives a run down of the clan activity and other fun things! Plagueis Proconsul Report 4: It’s Getting Hat In Here.

Titius makes a very quick and to the point report. Tyranus Quaestor Report #4 - What a bore!.

House Ventress

Let’s start off with welcoming Captain J.C Riggs, and welcoming back both Kul’tak Drol and Kor Vaal to the clan, and to our wonderful house. Welcome you guys!! Hope everyone is settling in alright and am getting acquainted with things. As always let me know if you have any questions.

Aliso Summer Festival

As you all know the Aliso Summer Festival ended a bit ago and now we are in the first week of the Pro Bowl. But before we get into that, let’s take a moment to delve into the results of the ASF for some fun stats.

  • Out of the entire clan, we had 13 participants all together. That was almost half the clan, not including myself or Titius.
  • In true Plagueis spirit, there were only two people who truly did “All The Things”, and got the biggest extra point of the event. Congrats to TuQ’uan and Nora!!!
  • We had 6 unique participants in the ASF 24’ RP, all of which were able to enough.
  • Each house had almost an equal amount of participants in between the two weeks; W1 having 9 total participants, 3 from Ventress and 5 from Tyranus. W2 having 12 total participants, 4 from Ventress and 6 from Tyranus. Total event was 13 participants, with 6 from Ventress total, and 6 from Tyranus total.
  • We had 48 entries total for W1 and 47 entries for W2, with the 6 entries for the RP, that makes a total of 101 entries for the entire event!
  • A couple of Week 2’s competitions and the parent competition got upgraded awards due to more than 10 people participating. Great work everyone!

Thank you everyone who participated and congratulations again to our top 4 participants, Nora, TuQ, Azmodius, and Cymbre!!

Pro Bowl VIII

HYPE GIF

IT’S HERE FOLKS!!! Pro Bowl VIII has officially started and it looks like we’re headed to Jedha and dealing with more Children of Mortis. There are only two teams this year, the Frogdogs and Rotworms, on discord you will have been assigned one of the these roles and be in a team chat. Below I’ll run and break down the Event Long and week 1 competitions. Most are super easy to do and there is the huge factor that there are Novae on the line for this Pro Bowl, as this will be only big event for the DJB this year. Now for the comps themselves:

  • [Pro Bowl VIII: Event Long] Roleplay: Pretty straight forward for all the RP veterans, but if your new or just recently returned here, then this is a new feature on discord and is super easy to use. Teams are to be made of 2 to 4 participants, and at least 1 to 2 members be from different clans, no cross teams. Make an RP thread (ask Wally and staff if you have any questions about things), get to writing using the prompt provided as a guide, and have fun.
  • [Pro Bowl VIII: Event Long] Treasure Among the Ruins: Graphics competition, that can be done alone or with up to 2 more people for a team of 3 max. You have to create a dossier of graphical information, w/ some writing too, about an ancient artifact or crystal that the children of Mortis are after. Now if you are on a team, make sure you note who did what and that it's noted for the judges in some way. Only one person on the team needs to submit the entry. Alright now let's get down to Week 1 comps:
  • Puzzle: Puzzle, pretty straight forward. Go to the site, complete the puzzle with the proper amount of pieces (99), screenshot and submit.
  • Star Wordle Part Deux: Guess what the word is. (Note: if you had done one before and now don’t see it, check this news post).
  • Button: If you’re on discord, there’s the Button channel dedicated to it. Just jump in, wait for a bond to be planted, and clip a wire to earn points. Super Easy!
  • Meme Roast: Exactly what it means. Have fun creating memes.
  • Crawl Creator: Create the iconic crawl before each of the Star Wars films, except in your own words and describing what your character or clan is doing on Jedha.
  • Broken (Kyber) Heart: Create a depiction of a location on Jedha, something that still remains after the destruction of Jedha city by the first Death Star. It can be structural plans, or a full scene of the location either there or from a map.
  • Cluster Race: Exactly as it says. Play with other DJB members, earn the most clusters in any and all gaming! Go go go!
  • The Finals: If your into the game The Finals, well this is the comp for you. Get your matches in and go for gold.
  • Fiction: Create a fiction over 500 words about securing a treasure hidden on Jedha for the Brotherhood. Good luck.
  • Places on a Fractured World: In the same style, create an ACC venue location set on the fractured surface of Jedha. Take a look at the Venues page for the style and description process, and I would suggest taking a look at Jedha’s Wookieepedia for inspiration.

Now that I’ve done this for the Week 1, look out for an email in a similar format for weeks 2 and 3. Good luck and remember participation is key for your team. Even if you don’t win many comps, participation is the key to your team winning.

QUA Q&A

I decided to open up a Q&A for fun. Got a couple of questions, and will answer them both OOC and IC if I can.

Katrila asks:
Why is Azorian Citadel so lame compared to Fort Dooku?

  • OOC: Honestly, I still don’t know a whole lot about the Citadel, other than what’s on the wiki. I’m thinking in the near future, I’ll be having some competitions, and/or some RP’s, where House Ventress, and possibly even House Tyranus, will be exploring more of it. Also Fort Dooku is awesome cause Khryso, who is awesome with wiki stuff, helped create and build up the Fort itself.
  • IC: I don’t know how it can be lame. I mean, is it on a cold moon? Yes. Is it on the bottom of the seabed? Yes. However, the tactical advantage we have verses Fort Dooku is that we are able to cut off from the surface and still be able to attack. Fort Dooku can leveled by orbital bombardment pretty easily.

Kul’tak asks:
Can we get a Krayt Dragon?

  • OOC: Absolutely dude!!!
  • IC: Yes. We can get a Krayt Dragon, but it may have to stay on Aliso. Unless we find a breed that can take freezing temps and swim through ice and snow, we’ll have difficulty taking care of it on Cilix. You also have to promise though, that you’ll help in taking care, feeding, and making sure it doesn’t go on any rampages.

Final Thoughts

This has been a little late in coming. Hoping with the cooler temps coming my way, I won’t be so strapped for energy. Now let’s get out there and get some Pro Bowl entries in and win some shinies. Can’t wait to see what you guys all get in shinies by the end, whether you’re a Frogdog or a Rotworm, I’m routing for you. Good luck!
