Hallo, my lektastic Qel-Dromians!
The sad reality of DJB leadership is that we often do not get to make elaborate resignations. All too often, our careers come to sudden ends when the proverbial lightsaber of life bisects us like Darth Maul. Some may of course survive that and crawl back, not unlike Maul, but that is beside the point.
I’ve been your Quaestor for over four years and it’s finally come my time to relinquish my duties to someone else. Thankfully, Sofila has agreed to pick up the mantle and the tasks, and be the new leader that House Qel-Droma needs and deserves. And for that I am extremely grateful.
Since this may come to her somewhat suddenly, I have agreed to stay a few more months as Aedile, helping her get the bearings and providing whatever passes for “accumulated wisdom” from my tenure. After that, the training wheels come off and the last lek-puns will finally leave your nightmares.
Although not my formal, final resignation from House leadership, I want to thank you all for these years together and all the stories we’ve made, Wars we’ve fought, and House we’ve built. You have all been amazing and I hope and trust you will be equally lektastic to Sofila as well.

A structural weakness.
That was what the engineers had called it, and she hadn’t bothered to argue about that fact. Still, she had insisted on it and out of the few times she’d pulled rank on anyone, that one had been the least catastrophic.
Gazing through the sliver of a window, carved through the bedrock of Ol’val and fitted with a clever array of optics to displace the distance, Tali observed the cold vacuum of space around them. There was something more real about seeing it without the aid of scanners, holovids, or other electronic means. A pure optical clarity that was in every conceivable way inferior to that provided by those other means.
Yet, despite its inefficiencies and lacking resolution, whenever the world had threatened to spin out of control, she’d found that view somehow grounding and real. A pale blue dot in the distance, nigh imperceptible to the naked eye or maybe just imagined, winked its comforting presence. Selen.
The situation on Selen had resolved itself better than she could have hoped, given everything. They had a new Consul, and Proconsul to boot. She’d embraced Zujenia warmly upon her nomination, the venerable half-Ryn having been a pillar to lean on back when she was but a confused Twi’lek girl, barely free and grasping to understand the powers within her. They had both grown much since then and Zuji would make a fine Proconsul, of that much she was sure.
Zuza’s rise to prominence was another matter. Far less established, she was, but no less capable. The circumstances of her ascent were unfortunate, but Tali realized that out of all the options available, she had been the best one. And what’s more, she had agreed to the task.
Tali’s mind flitted back to her own ascension to Aedileship all those years ago at Lucine’s behest. It had been a duty for her, to give back to the Clan and House that had taken her in. Never could she have foreseen the journey upon which it would take her.
When Lucine swiftly became Consul not many months after, she’d found herself at the head of the House. Overwhelmed and overworked, it had been the wise words of Yumni Ha that had saved her.
“Find yourself good people and trust them to shoulder some of the burden.”

So! We got a new system for activity tracker! It really tracks everything…
No seriously….
Every…
Single…
Thing!
And here’s what the leaderboard looks like! Apologies that it’s out of order, I’ll figure it out later.
So from now on, anything you do on the site will earn you points for the Leaderboard. Not just gaining Crescents! Go! Do the things! Do SA Courses, gain degrees! Society rank-ups! Participate and grind Clusters! It's all activity and we want to see it all!
Leaderboard WILL change after March, so bear with me please since January had the old system and February is the new one.
Wow-wee, the new system is different! Sagitta plunged up to first with Aiden right behind her! Mune came out of nowhere and surprised us all! Marick, however, was too busy with the Caxxies to notice! Archian and Tali wrestle for fifth with Archian as the current placement of fifth!!
If you don’t want to be featured in the Overall Leaderboard, let your House leadership know.
Name | January | February | March | Placement |
---|---|---|---|---|
Sagitta | 44 | 1049.5 | 1st | |
Aiden | 330 | 687.5 | 2nd | |
Mune | 0 | 90 | 3rd | |
Marick | 7 | 55 | 4th | |
Archian | 17 | 27 | 5th | |
