Hallo, my lektacular Qel-Dromnians!
We weathered the storm.
In case you were living inside a comfortable asteroid like an Exogorth, first of all sorry for disturbing you, but second of all we had a major shift in Clan leadership last month. The situation has been addressed in official reports, to which direction I will also point you if you need more information. However, in short, Qyreia and Atty were let go and Zuza has become our new Consul. Let us all wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors as she takes on the responsibilities of Clan leadership! And remember to write your kind words of thanks to Atty and Qyreia for their years of hard work and dedication spent on the betterment of Arcona and the Club at large.
On a related tangent, I have been Quaestor of House Qel-Droma for four years, which is a lot. More saying this for the benefit of all of you lektastic sausages who have had to put up with me for this long. Time sure flies when you’re living in interesting times.
I’ve been honored to lead you throughout the years and I hope I’ve at least managed to make some fun stories for you in the process. House Qel-Droma has come so far from the burnt-out wreck that it was when I first became Lucine’s Aedile.
People savvy in literary devices will have probably picked up on where I’m going with this, so let’s stop beating around the lek and spill it. My life is going to change majorly come summer. Like Tali, my aspirations for a family are being realized and that is going to eat up on my ability to devote the time and energy that House Qel-Droma deserves.
As such, I am letting you all know in advance that I’ll be returning to a regular membership status before long. Not this month, but SoonTM. I’ve honestly been trying to find a replacement for myself for a while, but circumstances have conspired to rob me of all my fine Aediles before they had a firm enough hand on things. You guys deserve someone with new ideas and fresh energy, and whomever that may end up being, I know you will keep kicking names and taking ass under their leadership as well!
It’s been a heck of a ride with you all, through better and worse, and I honestly cannot be more proud of the experience you’ve given me, and the victories we’ve won together. Leaders may come and go, but it is You who make Qel-Droma, Arcona, and the wider DJB what it is.
So, Thank You. Sincerely.
Signed, Soon to be Lek-father
Tali said everything I wanted to say! Do not worry, the Summit will make sure that House Qel-Droma would be in good hands. Thank you Tali, for the awesome four years that you have given to the members, I’m only sorry that I wasn’t here four years ago to watch everything grow. And thank you for teaching me the ropes.
And Congratulations on soon to be mini-Tali running around! Heehee!
With that said:
Exciting things are coming, make sure you keep up with the events and fictions of House Qel-Droma!
Also, the new activity tracker will be used next month, keep an eye out!
Will Aiden Lee Deshra still come out strong or will the Blind Key finally be in someone else's hands?
Stay tuned! Sof
Phantom Complex
Port Ol’val
42 ABY
The soft humming of data-banks and the flicker of holoscreens was by now a familiar and comforting sight to behold. The Phantom Complex, House Qel-Droma’s secret HQ carved deep into the rock of Port Ol’val’s very fabric, had come into its own since the previous compound was annihilated in the Besadii uprising. The scent of fresh furniture and drying duracrete had by now vanished and been replaced by the more lived-in smells of a base that was the home to several hundred of Clan Arcona’s best and brightest.
In a word, it smelled of home.
Tali Sroka had spent so much time aboard ships that she doubted planetside would ever feel quite the same. Despite the artificial gravity mimicking Selen’s, there were still a number of tells that subconsciously reminded her of the fact she was still very much in deep space. The slight tang in the air from the dioxide scrubbers, the faint tremor of the reactors somewhere miles below her feet, the conspicuous lack of windows in every room.
Still, it was home.
And right now they were about to peep into someone else’s for a change.
“Do ve have a signal?” the Twi’lek asked, turning her head towards a signals officer who was meticulously going through a check-list.
“Any moment now, ma’am. I don’t know how you got these bugs inside the Besadii Embassy, but I’m not here to ask questions.”
Tali smiled and let her gaze shift to Sofila, the Mirialan having been the brains behind this particularly brazen operation. Posing as a cleaning crew during the Embassy’s annual clean, quite audacious, but soon they would be seeing the results.
A red flash bathed the operations center in a crimson glow, the incoming priority message overriding all systems. Tali knew this particular cipher by a heavy heart. Too many times during her command had she seen it, each time heralding a major engagement against the Collective, the Mortis, or some other existential danger.
Sofila turned towards her, eyes questioning.
Tali tapped her datapad, feeding the message to her private terminal and unlocking the encryption with her biometrics. The missive was curt and all the more terrible for it.
“Karabast.”
“What’s this? Are we under attack?”
“I don’t know,” the Quaestor admitted. “But ve have a situation. Broken Rainbow.”

Below you will find the numbers used to determine the scoring and the leaderboard itself.
Due to the unforeseen shake-ups in Clan leadership and some troubles demanding bandwidth, we’ve been unable to roll out the new Leaderboard scoring. Hopefully we can get that up SoonTM. However, keeping with tradition we’re seeing a massive Eleceos score from his frankly absurd 25 Ruby Crescents. I honestly had no idea there were that many comps going on in a month…
Holding second palace is our plucky Aedile, with Archian keeping the third place in his furry paws. Tali and Shamiir are neck-and-lek for fourth and fifth, with Wally starting the year at 6th place.
If you don’t want to be featured in the Crescent Leaderboard, let your House leadership know.
Name | January | February | March | Placement |
---|---|---|---|---|
Eleceos | 330 | 1st | ||
Sagitta | 44 | 2nd | ||
Archian | 17 | 3rd | ||
Tali | 14 | 4th | ||
Shamiir | 12 | 5th | ||
Wally | 7 | 6th |
Ooooh looky hereeee, tasty comps to fill up your Crescent counter with!
