A Message from the Quaestor

The Nova is down!

That was one hard-fought mission, but we did it! The Dawn Conclave is down a major warship and we’ve avenged the loss of the Voidbreaker. It took some doing, and a great deal of effort from you all majestic sausages, but we pulled it off and managed to create some amazing moments! Thank you, for being awesome!

But while we were busy dealing with our own enemies, it sounds like Arx and the Brotherhood at large is facing old foes. There is a Rite of Supremacy around the corner and we are gonna kick it right in the comp-details! For those of you only recently joined, a RoS is a Club-wide event in which the Clans compete to see who is top dog. This means us lot doing various competitions and vying for Supremacy (get it?) in all manner of things like Fiction, Graphics, Gaming, Trivia, Battleplans, creating real-life props, making music, voice-acting, etc.

It’s going to be hectic. It’s going to be demanding. But I believe in each and every one of you, and together we will kick every ass, take every name, and make sure that House Qel-Droma stands supreme!

Hello fellow Qel-Dromans!

How’s everything going?

Let me tell you. You all did great at the fight against Huq and the Nova! Fighting alongside you, i mean not really cause Aru wasn’t there most of the time ehe, was super fun. Thank you all who participated in the RP we did. And I hope you’re as excited as I am for the next chapter in our story!

But now, we must change our gears into whar mode. The RoS is approaching and we must be ready to make our Clan the best in the whole DJB! Arcona Invicta!

House Fiction Update

The door into the Quaestor’s quarters hissed open, allowing the weary Twi’lek to shuffle inside. Tali Sroka let out a content sigh as the door once more closed behind her, leaving her alone within the blessed silence of her office—a sharp contrast to the boisterous return journey from their strike mission. She was quite certain the party was continuing downstairs even now, the team taking to some well-earned refreshments in the officer lounge, but after all she’d gone through the first thing on her mind was to get out of her armor and have a looong shower.

A sideward glance at her in-office bar offered an objection. Perhaps one drink, and then the refresher.

The struggle had been inelegant and fierce, but in the end the Arconan stood triumphant. Zuza Lottson let go of the haggard woman as soon as she retrieved the Aedile’s pilfered lightsaber, the spineless scoundrel scampering off into the shadows of the station. Their infiltration had almost been compromised by that sithspit of a woman, bumbling drunkenly into Aru Law and pickpocketing his saber before he’d even noticed. Returning the weapon back to its owner, the short Human received a round of approving looks from her new team-mates. It was only the beginning of her career, but she was proving to be equally quick of foot and wit.

Ice clacked into the tumbler, followed by a deep amber liquid that carried with it a hint of vanilla and smoke. Tali leaned back on the couch and drank deep, feeling the delightful burn on her tongue as she recalled the moments of their mission. Much had happened in such a short time, and the true color of the Battleteam been shown.

    • Tali: “Ethyl-alcohol. I have many, but the one I’m vorking on the most is decisiveness, no vait, I change my mindt!”

  • So, I get why Tali is Leky. But why is Aru “Draw”?
    • Aru: “AH, you just activated my trap card! Leky for Leku and Lucky. Draw for the luck of the Draw Aru, as a gambler, often enjoys.”
    • Tali: “Vhat he saidt, I don’t gettit.”
  • How did you two enjoy the spring festival? Carry over the party to Ol’Val?
    • Aru: “I’m always in party mode. If I could, Ol’Val would have Mardi Gras every day.”
    • Tali: “I think that vouldt be cultural appro-appropro… stealing.”
  • Favorite part of the festival?
    • Aru: “Not passing out!”
    • Tali: “Not getting stabbedt in the gut. Yes, I have a low bar for these things.”
  • Don’t you think it might be responsible to stage some sort of intervention for Aru, take his bottles away before the RoS?
    • Aru: growls viciously
    • Tali: “I vas thinking about that, but then I realizedt that might itself qualify as an RoS...”
  • Sera-hug
    • Aru: hugs back and spins

• Ruka wants to be a butcher:

  • What parts of Aru would we prefer Ruka cut off in this venture? I'm leaning tongue. It's not the balls, and it's damn effective to at least some of the problems he makes.
    • Aru: “3 inches, maybe 4, of my ponytail. It’s getting too big. And thank you!”
    • Tali: “Dominant drinking handt.”

In Closing…

Thank you for everyone who joined in on the massive RP that was “Super Nova”. I learned a lot as GM and I hope to improve the experience for you all next time around. Thanks for sticking with us until the end and being part of writing this bookend to an arc of our shared House storyline!

Now, let’s go sharpen our lightsabers, fluff up our fur, and don our shiniest war-time regalia! It’s time to go chew names and kick bubblegum in the RoS!
