Hallo, my lektacular Qel-Dromnians!
The Pro-Bowl is over and we eagerly await the results to see whose adoptive family came up on top! In the meantime, I want to extend my gratitude to all who participated and hope you made new and interesting contacts outside of Arcona. The Brotherhood can be quite Clan-centric, but that is no excuse not to branch out and seek new friends outside the tried and tested shores of Dajorra!
However, bigger things loom in the horizon. A Vendetta has been sighted in our future and is moving inexorably towards us each passing second! Batten down the hatches and prepare for a storm. This time next month, we’ll be in the thick of it.
As a reminder for those of you for whom a Vendetta (or Great Jedi War) is a novel experience, you’ll be in for a month of hectic competitions divided into three categories: Two phases (each running two weeks) and an Event Long category. Each of these categories will contain a multitude of competitions subdivided into “buckets”. Completing one competition from each “bucket” nets you participation for the entire group of competitions, however, so you’re not expected to actually participate in every single competition.
If you are a total madlad, you may pursue full 100% completion. However, doing one competition from each “bucket” in each of the three phases (Phase 1, 2, and Event Long) will net you full participation points for our Clan.
I hope to see all of you majestic Qel-Dromans doing your best out there, for victory in a Vendetta is not only prestigious, but grants our Clan ever greater resources and credits—of which House Qel-Droma will get their share.
Signed, Your Wartime Lekhead
Paws Up Qel-Dromans!
I am back, but only thanks to brave Arcona team who traveled to the Uvena System. Definitely I can tell that I have enough of insects sprays himself, but also we had a Pro-Bowl looks at the straw hat at the desk which I expect brings a lot of Clusters and Crescents to our Clan. I am impressed with your activity this past month - now rest and get ready for Vendetta because a lot will happen!
Now if you excuse me I have eggs hatching baby Rontos screams.

“Clearance to land is cleared only after properly following proper protocol. I repeat, properly follow proper protocol.”
The voice crackling over the comms array seemed as disinterested in issuing the request as Tali Sroka was in following it. The U-wing decelerated to a crawl while its pilot searched through the ship’s logs for a suitable code to give. Who in their right mind required a manufacturer’s ident-cypher for a routine landing procedure? Finally finding what she was looking for in the deep end of the shuttle’s datalogs, she transmitted the code over to the Hamartian port official and hoped for the best.
After an excruciatingly long moment, the bored voice sounded anew. “You are cleared to land. Welcome to Hamartia.”
The capital city of Wispor II was a sight to behold. In its prime, it would have been even moreso, but despite the decades of neglect, corruption, and Hutt-aligned rulers there was a certain kernel of venerable prestige that time alone could not easily despoil. The domes of old palaces and upscale houses still dominated the city’s skyline, a telltale sign of the planet’s Huttese heritage and juxtaposed by the quarters of blunt Imperial architecture.
That such a world had survived at all, squeezed between the two powers of the Hutts and the Principate, was a miracle in its own right. Tali suspected it was more out of utility than brilliant statesmanship, however, as the Hutts preferred to surround themselves with loyal buffers instead of having to rub shoulders with potential rivals. It made the game more interesting.
The U-wing touched down on the designated landing pad, and the Twi’lek was immediately moving. The time wasted in bureaucratic limbo would have to be made up. Barely had the shuttle’s ramp touched the pad when she was already off it, heading briskly towards the terminal building and the looming city beyond.
The terminal was much the same affair as the city itself, venerable and worn. Rows of passengers waiting for their shuttles shuffled around in queues while bored menials stamped documents or inquired further proof of personage or passage; the dreary monotony of life in the galaxy’s peripheries.
It was calm, too calm. Extending her senses, she felt the interests of several individuals around her, aroused by her arrival. A rotund Mirialan stamping documents could not take his eyes off her. The mustached Human reading the day’s holonews fared better, though still not good enough. The woman pushing a stroller along while her older child ran around her feet almost managed to evade detection, but she too seemed peculiarly interested.
“You will get used to it,” a kindly voice stated behind her. The kindly man was bent down to tie his laces, obscuring his mouth from view so only Tali could see and hear him. “There are curious eyes all around this city.”
It took her a moment to recognize him. The disguise was good, but he was one of the Qel-Droman agents sent to scout out the planet. When the realization dawned, the man raised a cautioning finger to his lips, eyes glancing at the public transport nexus. Without a word, Tali changed course and headed towards it, the man following behind a few moments later.

Here’s a curated list of tasty comps to occupy your time this month:
Sagitta desires some answers:
”Got any plans for House Qel-Droma?”
* Tali: “We have! Once the War is over, we’ll be heading to stir up some trouble between the Hutts and the Severians. Let’s remind the Hutts that they’re not the only ones who can meddle in the affairs of others.”
* Archian: "All above, and possible wedding? But war first!"
”If yes, what are they?”
* Tali: “Sow chaos andt confusion among the unsuspecting Hutts.”
* Archian: "Familiar Shistavanen faces will celebrate, alongside the Monk(s)!"
”If you were part of a holomovie, what genre would you like to play? Drama, Horror, Adventure, etc”
* Tali: “Romantic Comedy aka Psychological Horror.”
* Archian: "Kaiju, or beast movie! I need somehow to learn tactics to catch them all! "
Atty gave us these questions:
”How are you preparing for the War?”
* Tali: “I have my Var paint on. I have my Vartime epaulets polished andt ready. I have my hyping muscles tonedt andt I’ve clearedt out my schedule for the next month! Bring it!”
* Archian: "Heh - buying new creatures of course! And grooming my fur, to waterproof it against the blood…"
”Which competition are you most excited for?”
* Tali: “The one vhere ve buildt things!”
* Archian: "Where we draw creatures, and give funny voice over to our serious members at the screen."
”Any advice for the newbies out there?”
* Tali: “Pace yourselves. One competition per category is plenty. Andt if my stick figures are goodt enough for a submission, then so are yours. There is no excuse not to submit at least something.”
* Archian: "Even just a paw at the paper is good - how Shistavanen is saying. And do not leave everything to the last minute (like me)."
And now remember about one thing only - chill like Chillak, and absorb solar energy like Ronto in the desert! Retain energy and we will see you during the war! ARCONA PAWICTA!
