Shuttle, Somewhere over Aeotheran
*Notification came in a moment ago on my datapad. It’s me. The Summit has chosen me for Quaestor of Shar Dakhan. I guess my proposed plans were appealing enough they were willing to give me a shot.
This… is going to be interesting.*
Welcome to my first (brief) report as Quaestor of Shar Dakhan. I’m so pleased to have this opportunity to affect change in the House and Clan and I hope to meet and exceed all of the expectations you have on my tenure in the position.
This report is going to be brief, but will be shortly followed this week by some update as the Clan and House Summits come to an agreement over details of some of my plans. I don’t want to let my appointment linger too long without at least making an official “Hello” statement, so here it is.
But first, a bit of news.
Koji and Marcus are running a multi-week competition/event called Below Zero. Check it out and make sure you participate to get some of those sweet, sweet crescents.

Major news from the Voice office about the Brotherhood’s new home, the Arx System. Take the time to check out this report, as this will have deep and broad effects on all aspects of lore in the Brotherhood from here forward. Don’t forget to check out the associated competition.
Scholae Palatinae Consul is open for applications
Arcona Proconsul is open for applications.
House Imperium Aedile over in Scholae Palatinae is open for applications.
A recent FIST report shortly thereafter followed by FIST supplemental update, with special focus on Heroes of the Storm. This is a good one, as I know many of us enjoy HotS.
Here I’m going to go over some of my perspectives on the the job, plans for the House, and try to touch on some points of interest that may be of use to you.
Why did I want to be Quaestor?
Being a leader in the Brotherhood is a pretty unique opportunity. As leaders in this group we aren’t the bosses of you, clearly, because this is a gaming community for having fun. Leadership positions in this club are really meant for one primary thing: content creation. This doesn’t mean doling out tasks and projects to you, but rather creating a stimulating environment with entertaining activities for you to participate in, making you want to be here and to be active. This is why I wanted the job. I want to help you enjoy your time here by creating exciting content for you to enjoy.
What are my plans for the Disciples of Dakhan?
This is a truly exciting thing for me. I love the idea of the Disciples of Dakhan (DoD) as a more elite-style team, requiring eligibility requirements to be met in order to maintain membership. The idea is brilliant, to be honest. I think, however, that this sort of setup needs two things: (1) a rigorous framework with which to manage, promote and support such a system; and (2) substantial incentives to actually drive you to want to be a part of the battleteam. Please stay tuned for a soon-to-come update on my plans for the DoD in the next few days.
Does “the next few days” mean a report next month?
No, and this is something I want to emphasize. There seem to be two styles of information delivery in the Brotherhood. Monthly, batch-style reports and brief, quick updates. I intend to embrace both. You can expect a relatively comprehensive report from me towards the beginning of every month, but there is every likelihood that between reports I may release numerous updates on projects, plans, events, etc. This is because I think that in a club like this, information needs to come as a steady flow. I hope that this will keep interest above baseline, rather than the peaks and troughs that I perceive monthly-only reports to promote.
When am I available?
I live in MST (Arizona), meaning no daylight savings time. I am awake basically from 8am to at least 12am MST almost every day. Feel free to reach me by email or Telegram at any time, however. I check my phone many times throughout the day. If I have time to respond immediately, I will. However, my job being what it is (research scientist), it is occasionally unsafe or impossible for me to check my phone, so if you send me a TG message during my awake hours and you don’t get an immediate response please do not be offended. Except in very rare circumstances (personal emergencies, etc), you can expect a reply from me usually within the day, if not just an hour or two.
So… what now?
This is really just an introductory report to get you all on board with my general feel as Quaestor. There has already been numerous reports lately highlighting all of the happenings throughout the Brotherhood, so I would be beating a dead bantha to continue repeating the same “news” in excessive detail. I have some big plans that I am excited to share with all of you, so expect to see some updates in the very near future.
I am in active discussion with Jurdan and Lilith about my plans for the Disciples of Dakhan, as well as some potential larger-scale projects with Sang. As the details get polished, that information will be presented to all of you. At the minimum, expect some update on the DoD early this week.
Being Quaestor is not an “I say, you do” position in my view. I won’t be delegating tasks just to keep you busy. If you’re not enjoying your time here, I’m not doing my job. And if you’re unhappy but you don’t communicate it to me, then you’re not doing your job. This is a team. And if there’s one thing I can say with certainty about a team, it’s this:
In service,

Good luck, can't wait to see on how many levels you do better than I did!
Also: First!
Good report new boss.
Nice report. This reinforces what I believed when we read your application, that you are a leader after my own heart. I look forward with great anticipation as we watch you make your plans a reality. :)
I love the yellow.
The yellow looks pretty gucci. Much swagger. I like.
The "Mmmmyellow" was supposed to be a corny way of saying "Hello," I didn't realize it could be the graphics too. Those were meant to look like gold. But thanks everyone.
