Clan

Disciples of Dakhan - A Brief Update

In case you missed it, the official system for managing the Disciples of Dakhan (DoD) Battleteam were released in the last report. Check it out for the full details. Additionally, the eligibility guidelines were made a bit more “permanent” by being listed on the DoD Wiki page.

I wanted to take a second in this report to say that I’m impressed with the impact the system seems to have had on the immediate activity of members of the House. I hope this will continue, and as the system matures I think we will all hit our stride. Of course this is sort of a “beta release” of the system, and kinks will have to be addressed as we move forward, but for the first month I am more than satisfied with how it is going. Thank you to all who have taken your progress into your own hands and embraced the system.

DoD Current Point Standing

These are the points for the DoD eligibility period 7/1/17 to 12/31/17 as of October 1st, 2017:

This was a very nice improvement! Here’s a little additional analysis:

In this period of time we’ve had members place in 38 positions among a total of 181 competitions. That’s a House success rate of about 21%. Not too shabby. Something that’s very satisfying to me, though, is that most of those placings are either 1st or 2nd place:

Next, I wondered what competitions those ended up in. Here’s a plot of the distribution of competitions our House has participated in during this current DoD period:

I guess you guys like to race, huh? I’m not terribly surprised by the distribution here, but it’s interesting to see the raw numbers. I look forward to utilizing this and seeing how it might change as we move forward.

Remember, the point here is that the DoD is a competitive team, and doing competitive things gets you on the team, and allows you to reap the rewards. Be competitive, participate (well) in competitions and gaming and getting on the DoD is very possible.

Placement on the team will be finalized on 1/1/2018.

Contract Board

The following contracts are open to all members of House Shar Dakhan. For the time being, these are minor contracts in order to simply get the system in place. Expect a more complete contract board after the Great Jedi War is over.

• Contracts are on hold for the duration of the Great Jedi War. Instead, GO AND DOMINATE! This is your chance to really gain a tremendous amount of notoriety in the Brotherhood and, of course, this will ultimately help your placing in the DoD. So, contracts are not really necessary for the time being because the GJW is the ultimate contract.

Message from the office of the Aedile, Jurdan Krennel

It’s time everyone! War is upon us, the clan transfer ban is in full effect, and we are going to win this one for Naga Sadow!

I would like to say how proud of everyone in Shar Dakhan that I am. We have been through a lot since I came here and there is a long way to go still. Starting October 13, 2017 we will begin our path into glory. We will be tested with the Great Jedi War. Things are shaping up pretty big here and we will be in the thick of it. There isn’t a group of people I’d rather be in this war with.

We need to step up our games people. We need to make sure even if we don’t place that we are putting our best foot forward and getting as many quality subs in as we can. This will be a test for our clan for sure, however our lower numbers mean the more subs we get in the better our chances are for winning. I just finished running a competition to garner some activity from the clan and out of 8 subscribers 7 participated. Numbers are rather low for a flash game,(an easy one at that, and addictive, right Tasha? :-p)

Blade Runner 2049 has just come out and I know most of your fanboys, or girls will be going to see it. Who is hyped for all the new Harrison Ford hype? Yay!

In finishing, I would like to push everyone to do their best. Take the time you need now and come back on the 13th ready to kick the pants off of everyone else in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. We will be victorious!
