Happy February, and late Valentines day to those who decide to spend insane amounts of cash on overpriced novelty items. The past month has seen us tested in many ways than one. I am obviously talking about the ending of GJW XI: The Blameining. Mix that in with people having severe RL issues since the start of the year.
Not much on the news front other than the end of the War, and the “peace” that will follow. Right now Clouses are free to pursue their own goals, and competitions for awhile. Right now KoA, is on a bit of a standdown. We have been fighting for so long this is more than well deserved. That being said, take a break, and come back well rested. I plan to kick March off with a bang and need all our guys rested and ready to lead HOU in activity.
Also keep an eye out on your mailbox. For those who were active in the GJW I am just waiting on the Round 2 and Team events to be released and I will have rewards reccs sent out.
There are alot of plans in the works for our House, and Ive got some ideas for the team. We will continue with our monthly campaigns. They will continue to be open so that others can participate. I do this so that we can sharpen our skills against not only ourselves, but others. Plus we are small in number and the more people involved means the higher rewards I can give.
These campaigns will be standalone initially. However they will build and eventually make a bit more sense around the end of the summer. Im thinking August or Sept I will have KoA a running enemy that we will face off against fictionally. At that time our battles against pirates, slavers, hutts, and any scum of the galaxy will make more sense. Especially if you have paid attention to the events in the Galaxy (Legends Era).
When I found the Emperors Hammer back in 2000, I wasnt looking for a group to interact with. I was a loner in High School and just wanted some missions for TIE Fighter. I joined simply to get those. However as I joined I found out that I had other people to talk to about all things geek. However I quickly found out that, just like any group in Real Life, I was expected to pull my weight for the greater good of my Squadron, Ship, and Battlegroup.
Enter the DJB. This group was a whole different ballgame. I joined at a time when a change in leadership meant a change in website and database. Also to be honest quite a few people were pretentious pricks. It took me far longer to get attached to the Brotherhood. After the split it seemed like the groups had swapped places. The DJB became the group that relied upon one another.
Skip ahead more than a decade and here we are. While some things have changed, our reliance on our Brothers (sisters too, but Brothers for brevety) has not. We rely on each other to keep our Unit running. We are all here for different things. Some for chit chat, some to write, some to game. However I dare any of you to send me a serious mail saying you care nothing for our little unit, either KoA or HOU. If you do, I can assure you, you are in the wrong place. We are the reason that HOU exists (not KoA in general, but the House membership). KoA is just meant to be the point that pierces the thick hide of activity. For my friends who are US Army Rangers, I am going to borrow your motto.
Knights of Allusis lead the way!
Real Life has a tendency to stick it to you, and I understand. I just ask that in times that it does you take a step back and ask yourself, if you can be here. If you can give just a speck of care, want, and time to do something. Ill be honest, I was a bit disappointed during the GJW. Alot of people said RL was biting them. However some tasks take less time to do than it takes to eat breakfast (30 minutes). I am different from my fellow Summiters that I ask those who cannot be at least 30 minutes active a month (competition wise) to step back and come rejoin us when life isnt so hectic. Afterall, RL is the most important thing in your life. You need to focus on it completely unless you have spare moments.
I love this group. I love KoA, and Odan Urr. As long as I can I will put everything I am into seeing this group succeed, even if I have to go through alternative ways to do so.
I talked about this last month, but after seeing some things happen during the GJW I want to do it again. Itll be short though, I know your tired of me preaching. :P
My father pulled me aside when I was young, about 5 or 6. I had lied to him about something trivial, and he knew I had. Instead of getting upset with me, he sit me down and asked me what was one thing that no one could ever take from me. I cant remember my answer, but it had to be something age appropriate because he smiled. He said no that wasnt it, it was something called Honor. My honor was one thing that no man could take from me, and only I could give away. By lying I had given my honor away.
I cried, and begged for my honor back. As an adult, I know that as a kid my honor had little value. However as an adult I know it does now. Anytime we lower ourselves, and willingly take advantage of something we give our honor away. In many cases we cann ever reclaim it. In Law Enforcement we were taught this is our Integrity, and if ever given away we would never reclaim it.
There was alot of dirty tactics used during the war, and before. I besmirched my own by participating in a loophole in Diablo during the December Gorefest. I am not proud of it, but I am working to make amends by admitting to it freely and working to try and rebuild the shattered pieces of my own.
My point behind this is never lower yourself to do anything underhanded. If it feels wrong, it quite possibly is.

In closing be excellent to one another. Also get some rest, because in March I expect us to start working towards becoming the well oiled hunting machines I know we are capable of. For the most part, March will signal a clean slate for the majority of us. For those who think they are on the verge of an email asking your intentions of staying in KoA, you probably will get one.
For those interested in shineys, and feel like writing, go and contact our Rollmaster, Echo -1 (formerly Vyr). There are many Wiki articles that need updating. Even if your wiki skills are teh sux like mine we will take Word documents with your writing and will be more than happy to wikify them. Cant say what the award would be, but good articles or a good many done will equal some nifty merit awards.
Also before I forget, we are missing a Battleteam Sgt. Shorurra had to step down due to RL difficulties. I am debating on leaving it open, but may change my mind and take apps. Ask Junazee how I am on changing my mind in RL if you want a laugh.

Tasty report dude!
One of the best reports I've read in a long while, bro.
I'm still coming down from my Arconan #tigerblood high and I felt the HOU HYPE by the end of that report.
The Knight-Commander legacy is secured. :D Great report. :)
