Du Kang, Yuanming
Yuanming was abuzz with activity as droids, merchants, speeders, and your typical pedestrian scurried about, preparing the twin towered hotel complex for a celebration.
The island called Du Kang was one of the few places on Zsoldos where weapons were prohibited but outsiders were welcomed. In theory it was the perfect location for the festivities that Juda Graves had envisioned and organized with the blessing of Korvis Manda'vod. More criminal in nature than most of his Clan, the Proconsul aspired to form alliances. His trade was dependent on relationships so it was not surprising that he would reach out to the Clans of the Brotherhood.
While not adhering to the tenets of the Mandalorian creed himself, he respected their traditions and would expand on their traditional death ceremony. To create not just a situational event. But a holiday that would come yearly, a time to honor the lost and fallen. To reflect on the memories of those who had come and gone. To celebrate and honor them through a festival, a ceremony, an annual kote ky'ram.
As day grew to night, the start of the two day celebration grew closer. The towers glistened against the inky horizon as the neon lights illuminated the surrounding area, basking it with an effulgent glow.
The Zabrak watched from a smaller spire located at the adjacent spaceport. A building used for vetting outsiders where he had strategically placed one of his many offices. Behind him the chatter of a protocol droid broke his somber reflection as he thought of the death of his wife.
"Sir, I do not mean to intrude, but the prep-crews are just finishing up."
Juda adjusted his red tie with gloved fingertips.
"Send the invitations."
In Memoriam
So, if you managed to make it through my brief opening fiction, you will have noticed that Clan Vizsla is hosting a DB wide event which will coincide with Memorial Day. This will become an annual event, much like COU has done with their life day celebrations. It will start 5/26 and will run until 6/10 - but fictionally the event will take place over a two day period.
It's funny how these things come up, I was merely having a conversation with my old pal, Rin Kurai, about the possibility of creating more - slice of life - styled competitions and mentioned a holiday. Shout out to you for saying "What about memorial day?" that was enough to get my brain working. Pitched it to the team - Korvis, Kanal, and Shimrah immediately jumped on it and helped me shape it. I'm hoping everyone has a lot of fun with it and can earn a nice little chunk of credits in the process. It will be good times.
We unanimously agreed to run it DB wide so everyone is welcome to jump in and participate. Personally I would like to run more DB wide events in the future for the purpose of getting our Clan participating with and against members we don't typically get to cooperate with. Come on out, get to know us, hop in our Clan discord channel and chat it up, I promise you probably won't regret it.

In the spirit of activity, I would also like to reach out to you, the membership. Particularly members interested in DM'ing Roleplay. While not a formal position, I'd like to find someone that can focus their time and attention on running scenarios for Clan Vizsla and Vizslan themed DB Roleplays. If interested just send Korvis and I an email or catch us on discord and we can have a chat. My thought process is that if we have a member focusing on this aspect of the club, there will always be organized RP activities for our members. Your effort will definitely be recognized.
I'm considering some different options for ways to work this so if you're interested, slide into our DM's. Wait… not those DM's, the other DM's… backs away slowly
I would also like to take a moment to mention some world building that has been taking place. I have been updating Clan Vizsla pages and Kanal and Shimrah have been working on their House pages.
I have updated the main Clan Article with additional details on First Blood (our last Great Hunt) and the Battle of Mimban which was the Roleplay that Hector Von Ricmore orchestrated for us and our current storyline which should be coming to an end soon. Su Well won't be so well when we're finished with her.
Here recently I gave Kanal and Shimrah the choice of homeplanets from a list of those found within our system and gave them the mission of developing them.
Kanal and Chrome chose Endura for House Wren and have begun to work on development which is taking shape as we speak.
Shimrah and his newly appointed Aedile Raist Grats Raist!! have hit the ground running and have been throwing out competitions left and right as they use the membership to flesh out the details of their choice Korus
I'm eager to see what these guys come up with for future events and lore.

While it wasn't my intention to write a full-fledged report, I merely wanted to shed some light on Kote Ky'ram: In Memoriam - I felt the need to just roll with some things that have been going on behind the curtain. Other things you can look forward to include.
