Introduction

Howdy strangers!

It's been a little bit since my last report so I have a lot to cover. This includes our currently active event, some big awards, and a couple of other things. Little side note here, I'd like to thank Malisane for tipping me off to the banner creator I used to generate the above. I really need to find a real artist, but until then, thanks Malisane!

News

The biggest news going on right now is the awards and promotions our members have attained recently. First off, Hades and Pel have both been promoted to Equite 4 (Warlord). Next, Ashia has been awarded a Sapphire Blade and Cymbre has been awarded an Anteian Cross. Finally, one of our newest members, Nikana, has been promoted to Acolyte. Please be sure to congratulate them if you have not already. Reaching Equite 4 and obtaining sacramental awards especially are a really big deal and no easy feat.

Congratulations again!

I'll have a more comprehensive award break down at the end of this report.

Additionally, Hades' competition, Military Recon of Tarthos has concluded, with Darkhawk taking 1st place, Malisane 2nd, and our new member Nikana placing 3rd. It will be interesting to see what might come of their ideas, but for that you will probably have to wait until one of Hades' future reports.

Competitions

Next is the currently ongoing co-operative event between Naga Sadow and Taldyran. You can find all the competitions at the competition page The Unchained Malady. There are ten different competitions for this event, including a cooperative fiction/run-on type event which is looking like a lot of fun so far. These competitions run until the 25th of this month.

Next up I want to promote a gaming competition I am running that should not conflict with the above. You can use your screenshots from HotS vs AI, Squadrons vs AI, and pvp between CNS members to submit to the sub-events under Trial By Fire. I've seen that we do a LOT of gaming in CNS, so I wanted to make sure that you all had a chance to win something from that. These competitions end on the 16th of this month.

I have noticed that this doesn't cover everything people want to do. For example, we've seen a little bit of PvO HotS (quickmatch vs random human opponents) and Dogfights in Squadrons (which I believe are the same thing). Additionally, I think the pvp competition would be better, easier, and more clear if it allowed you to play against non-CNS members. Thus, in any future gaming competitions I run, I will take these findings into account.

Finally, I'd like to give a shoutout to Bentre's Old Republic gaming competition Represent the Brotherhood: the Old Republic which runs until the 30th of this month.

Award Overview

Here I'm going to list our activity and awards since January 31st in a more traditional format, in no particular order (it's alphabetical):. Let me touch on a couple of things not already mentioned. I want to give a shoutout to Nikana's activity here. He's earned a total of nine Crescents, including two 2nd level ones, and participated in 13 competitions.

Corvo has also obtained 59 Clusters of Fire, which are earned a lot more slowly than Clusters of Earth, so that's pretty great.

I'd also like to welcome Rhys Pwyll to CNS.

And finally, myself and the Quaestor got a few Clusters of Earth.

Closing

There was a lot of activity above, and while that's partly because I haven't done a report in awhile, it's also because we've all been pretty active. We've seem some great competition entries as well as a lot of gaming. I'm really glad to see everyone gaming together and I'm looking forward to a strong showing in this event with Taldryan. The runon is also a great opportunity to write with friends or members you haven't interacted with much before.

I'm also still looking for an ACC match, so if anyone in CNS is interested, feel free to challenge me. But you better not time out!
