Hello everyone,
I want to give a brief report to touch on a couple of things.
First off, I'm Locke and I'm happy to say I'm taking over as Quaestor from Hades. Hades did a great job as Quaestor; a couple of his notable projects included improving and rounding out the House military, as well as developing the new Tarthosian city of New Eden. He also didn't blow up Kar Alabrek at all, which, while breaking with tradition, probably kept Muz happy.
Most of you probably know me so I won't go into a lot of background of who I am or anything. I will say this is my first Quaestor role and I'm looking forward to it.
Me moving up to Quaestor vacates Aedile. I'm opening applications for the position from now until midnight site time on Tuesday, October 19th. This might seem a little weird, but I want to make sure all of next weekend is available, and due to my Monday and Tuesday schedule I wouldn't get a chance to look at them until Tuesday night anyway.
I'm not going to give a big long list of requirements. Aedile is an intro level position. I'll choose a veteran Summit member for it if that's the best option, but I'd really like to give an opportunity to someone new or without a lot of experience to try out being on Summit and gain more experience with it. My main thing is just being available most days to discuss plans and projects.
In your application, you should say why you are interested in the position, talk about any ideas you may have (no matter how outlandish, you never know), and briefly go over past experience if you have any (even if you don't, please apply.) I'm not setting any hard requirements.

As you probably realize, the Pro Bowl is still on, and continuing for all of next week. So far the competitions have been pretty short and a cool mix of different competition types. I'm really enjoying it and I hope you guys are too.
I want to talk about this briefly. I actually have a question: how do you guys feel about this team? Do you want it to stick around? I've been considering what to do with it, and at times it feels redundant. I don't think BTL is the greatest position for new members trying to get their feet wet in leadership, because their responsibilities overlap so much with the Quaestor/Aedile. I'm curious to know your thoughts.
By the end of the Pro Bowl, I hope to have a good idea of what CNS is doing next, and the beginnings of some kind of personal story to HMR specifically in the works, that I'll hopefully be able to finalize with whoever ends up Aedile. Maybe even a report banner.
