Sapphire Blade
Nora came to us with a proposal to allow Proconsuls to award Sapphire Blades by the database/site. It made sense, it's been approved and implemented.
With the expansion of awarding authority of Sapphire Blades to Proconsuls, here's a reminder that it is your job as leaders to write your own recommendations, and more importantly your job to know the person you're writing about if you're in their chain and have the ability to award them a medal.
If you are putting in a medal as a leader, write the recommendation yourself. If you don't have the authority to award it? Go up the chain and get the Consul to write it. So for example, if you're a Proconsul and putting in a Sapphire Blade? Write it yourself. Don't put in medal recommendations as the primary on behalf of anyone else.
Communications
Use the [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. It goes to all three of us, and it is more likely to be processed faster - whatever it is - than sending a private message or an email to just one person.

Two MAA reports in one year?
I recall a decade or so ago, the PCON could recc to about the same level as AEDs. I'm assuming this was one of the last of those and CON-PCON and QUA-AED can now roughly recc up to the same level?
The Panda comes out of hibernation with not one, but two reports, and gives us lowly Pecans the ability to award Blue Stabbies™? What a year to be alive!
