Introduction

Hello all, it's been an eventful month. Lots of changes happening in our Battleteam. We've got a lovely new ship with incoming customizations. I hope you're all doing well and keeping it together. If any of you ever need anything, please don't be afraid to reach out and talk to me.

News

The Headmaster’s office is hiring a bunch of new positions. They are looking for a new Praetor, two new Magistrates, and a new Professor. If you have been wanting an inside look at how the Shadow Academy works, check it out.

Competitions

What? Your Sith Lord is Evolving! “Time moves on, people change, they evolve. Show your character developing in stages, in any way you desire. This can be reflecting the past, present, and future, or even just a present figure compared with their past and future self. If you want a good general example of this, you can find a more developed one here.” Ends May 18th.

My favorite character and Me “The task of this competition is to draw your favourite character from any part of Star Wars - The movies, comics, novels, anything. Then show them interacting with your main or alt character in a way that reflects both personalities. Are they on good terms? Does it turn violent? The choice is yours.” Ends May 21st.

Star Wars Movie Madness OT Transports (Easy) “Some Star Wars transports have become as iconic as the characters that control them. Star Wars had a sense of adventure and fun, with many of the transports becoming cultural icons. This competition will be focusing on those icons. But watch out, some questions could have more than one answer to them. But for the most part, this will be an easy, simple, and fun comp. So good luck.” Ends May 22nd.

On The Horizon “Rumors of war have been spreading throughout Brotherhood territories. Your character, feeling that the rumors are true, prepares for whatever may come to pass.” Ends May 30th.

So It Begins “Our very existence all started with the joining of two important, or not so important, beings. Where does your saga begin? To better gain an understanding of our characters, we should determine where it is they come from.!” Ends May 30th.

[FIST] May 2020 GMRG Competitions “Welcome, Gamers, to the May 2020 gaming challenge! This container will be the host for the competitions being run by the FIST Staff. They will range from flash, mobile, skill based and more. Placements within each individual competition within this container will be included in the GMRG score calculation for members that are Rank X and above.” Ends May 31st.

The Pictures in the Sound - 13 “One of the best examples of music coming before the image would be the original Conan The Barbarian film. That film's score was created prior to filming beginning. As a result, the scenes were altered and filmed to fit the score in a way that hadn't been done prior. This shows that sound—most notably music—instills an image in the listener. Listen to the provided song and draw a depiction of what you see in your mind's eye. The goal of this competition is to capture the emotions that it evokes within. At a bare minimum, your entry must have a clear focal point beyond simple abstracts. That means entries cannot be a simple application of a few colors and no shapes akin to simple country flags” Ends May 31st.

Karran Answered: “Quite. We are considering both group saunas and smaller, individual rooms meant for meditation and privacy. Also, we may hire a team of Physical Therapists and Massage professionals, if we can find it in the budget.”

“How lavish will the 'VIP quarters' be?”

Karran Answered: “Any time we have diplomatic guests, it is of the utmost importance to ensure their comfort. Do you think we can afford silk sheets, about 3000 thread count?”

“Did you get crash insurance on the VB II like I told you to?”

Karran Answered: “I keep meaning to get to that. I will, I promise.”

“How is going to win the upcoming Wahr?!”

Karran Answered: “By crushing our enemies, seeing them driven before us, and hearing the lamentations of their women (and men).”

Karran Answered: “Sera is allowed to do whatever she wants. wink”

“Can I let Motraka beat up up on the Magnaguards?”

Karran Answered: “Motraka can try. Motraka will fail.”

“What would be Karran’s favorite fancy dish?”

Karran Answered: “I’m not picky. A nice cut of meat is always nice. Lots of flavor, ideally.”

“How is Karran gonna demonstrate his gratitude to the consul for his new ship? Lucine was so nice to get him a new one.”

Karran Answered: “I would...rather not talk about it. I have a bad feeling about what is expected.”

Karran Answered: “Currently unknown. Assume it is overrun.”

Karran Answered: “Not at all. Please, we must ensure that no enemies can infiltrate our ventilation systems.”

Congrats to Major Emere Galo on her promotion. Well deserved!

I also want to personally thank everyone that submitted to the Rise of the Voidbreaker II. There will be a second round of competitions to further develop our new home.

Things to remember

Finally, remember to take the time to rest and recuperate before the war. We’ll need everyone at full strength to bring home a second win in a row. Let’s remind them why we’re First Clan!

The Voidbreaker Crew Manifest is an open access Google sheet that allows any member of the Voidbreaker Battleteam to fill in where they would like to work on the ship. We will be using this as a reference for fictions to create a degree of realism. If you happen to have multiple characters, you can fill in multiple lines. Think about your character and where they would most likely be working day to day on the ship. Are they technically inclined? Perhaps they would be useful either in the engine room making sure everything runs smoothly or on the bridge ensuring cyber security. Is your character a medic? We could always use more hands in the medbay. Is your Sith always itching for a fight? Report for boarding duty. Are they an ace pilot? We've got a couple squadrons of fighters that could use you. Whatever your character is good at, we can find a place for them on the ship.
