Report #14: Last we left, We Won.

ATTENTION: NIGHTHAWK CREW

The tides are changing. The winds are shifting. The Brotherhood as we know it alters, ever so slightly. A new Grand Master has been announced, and with him, the seeds of change have been sowed. This is Nighthawk, though. Nighthawk takes the change and mold it to its advantage. Nighthawk steps forward, Nighthawk succeeds, Nighthawk doesn’t back down. Continue this journey forward, no matter the change. Together, Nighthawk is the strongest. Don’t let the change...change what Nighthawk has become.

The time for rest is almost over, Crew. We have had time to recover. We have had time to spend with friends and share in the rewards of the Great Jedi War. The time has come for the Crew to return and the Nighthawk to take flight once again. Our mission is to be the eyes and ears of Arcona’s Intelligence Agency, to protect from our enemies external and within. Prepare yourselves for the missions ahead.

Competitions!

As many of you should have already taken notice to, things are changing. There is a new Grand Master in town, Wally has stepped down with Atty taking the reins, Quaestor and Aedile lay empty. Change can be scary, true, but this is Nighthawk. We don’t hide in the shadows when things get tough. We step forward and show what we can do. I continue to expect that this team, this crew, will continue fighting no matter the change.

With the addition of Uji, more known to all as Donny, Nighthawk has seen a burst of life. The wiki is being worked on ten fold than previous attempts and it seems we may get our Battleteam wiki up to date in no time at all. Donny and I are still working getting the job board set up 100%, so keep an eye out for that so you can make your contributions. This is your chance to be the brick and mortar for this Battleteam. Don’t let it pass you by!

All in all, crew, I’m extremely impressed with the amount of effort you all put forth in the GJW. Our ratio as a sub-unit was one of the highest in the Clan, showing that we’re a force to be reckoned with. Make sure we keep this mindset well into the future, as more and more things become available.

Last but not least, I want to thank our Marick Arconae, Wally, for all of his hard work leading our Shadow Clan. Without him, much of what we know today would not be here. So thank you, Wally. We are forever in your debt.

Starting off with introductions: some of you know me from having previously worked with me in Darkforge and during the Dark Crusade last year. I have been a part of Galeres over the last two years with the exception of part of last year when I stepped away from the club. I returned in September and when asked which BT I would prefer to return to. I chose the Nighthawk and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have made in this club. I appreciate you all giving me the opportunity to serve as the BTS for Nighthawk, my promise is that we will continue to climb and grow to be stronger going forward.

Competitions: something I have promised Esca is that I will be creating regularly scheduled events and competitions for the Battleteam to partake in. Small competitions that should take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete at most, but hopefully provide a fun little challenge for each of you.

“Nighthawk Intelligence Gathering”

This competition will be the first of many to begin rolling out for you guys. I will be hosting some events specifically those themed around “Intelligence Gathering” for our Battleteam exclusively. Expect to see URL Hunts, Wiki Hunts, Image Hunts and much more in the near future!

With that in mind, I would also love to see you guys organizing competitions as well, I have spoken with Kordath on occasion about fiction prompts he has in mind. We have a terrific opportunity during these times of peace to get to see one anothers work and provide feedback and appreciation. If you ever have an event idea and need help (co)organizing it, let Esca or I know and we will be happy to help.

I really look forward to seeing where the Battleteam goes from here and I’m glad to be part of making that happen. I’ve also had the chance to help update the activity tracker Arcia spoke of earlier. I have to say guys, I am impressed with the activity within the Nighthawk. We once again proved why the Nighthawk and it’s crew are to be feared. We stand among the most dominant clan as the most powerful Battleteam and I look to the future for how we can rise even higher.

Keep an eye out for some new concepts as well from our very own Sight as he and I get things together for a few workshop opportunities in the future. Expect one or two of you might be voluntold to participate ;-)
