Seated within the expansive halls of the Voraskel Palace, the Vatali Conclave gathered in the high courts of Kiast to discuss matters of the Jedi atop large, concentric balconies that ringed the rotunda. Councillors hand-chosen from the ranks of Jedi and representatives from Odan-Urr’s other branches sat or stood within the innermost concentric ring that was in-line with the “ground level” entrance, below the conclave’s collective gaze. Lords and ladies of the Vatali noble houses considered their positions carefully, each in support of Odan-Urr’s integration, or against it.
As with all politics, the rewards justified the ends.
“This is seeming to be more of a trial, than a negotiation.” Edgar Drachen remarked, matching involuntarily glances with the nobles wherever he looked, “A rather grim welcome.”

In the last Consul report, we were given the details of Kiast, our new system far outside of the Brotherhood’s reach. This time, we’ll be looking at some of the expansions to the system, and more importantly, a new event titled Homecoming.
In case you missed it—Kiast is our fictional armour and home, finally giving us reason to fight the Brotherhood without the threat of retaliation (or at least, in the form of losing a planet.) Just last month, I fleshed out our existing articles some more, including a detailed description of the system’s defenses (links later in the report.)
Homecoming will serve two functions: to give our members an event, and to let them flesh out the system. It will take place on the capital planet, Kiast, and be focused around world-building. You can expect to find several competitions that encourage creating something, whether it is a venue, article or character. Otherwise, we have also included the usual platforms, including gaming and fiction.
Last but not least, there are plans to allow our Houses to run their own events to showcase their worlds after Homecoming. I’m impressed with the work of both Hoth and Satele’s leadership on these new worlds, and have no doubt that we do have the most interesting system, so far. It’s great that we were able to think of so many elements to make the worlds stand out—from airships to massive tunnels, we have no doubt covered a broad spectrum that should have something for everyone.
Kiast has been chosen as the featured article for this month! The Wiki Tribune was kind enough to give an ovation to the hard work put into our articles in the latest report, with myself, Turel Sorenn and Morgan Sorenn all recieving Dark Side Scrolls for having a featured article. Can we have another article in Odan-Urr featured next month? We’ll see!
These articles have all been given a facelift with more information, with another several to come. However, with your assistance, we can make the dream of having a massive stockpile of quality articles a reality. Note that all of these are living documents, and will be edited through the coming months to offer better, more detailed information with improved formatting.
Also, here are some new articles that have been written for House Satele Shan and House Hoth’s new worlds. There’s still some work to be done on these (like images!) so feel free to lend a hand. I’m extremely grateful for the effort put into these two articles, so please thank your House summits for their hard work!
Yes! As a matter of fact, Turel has updated the Odan-Urr Project Volunteer Form and Odan-Urr Summit Feedback Form with our current needs. Whether you would like to take a direct approach in volunteer work, or letting us know about concerns, please do take the time to look at these forms.
Assuming you’ve read the fiction (if not—go back to the front of this report now,) the first phase’s fiction for the event has been revealed. In it, we’re introduced to Kiast’s Vatali Conclave as the subject of an ongoing court decision. We’re also introduced to a number of NPCs and another faction, the Vauzem Dominion. As mentioned before. This event is targeted around world-building, with themes of court intrigue to take a break from battle-driven events.
Because of the emphasis placed on world building, this also means that through submitting entries, you can affect the direction we take in future fictions and events. Come up with a cool enough venue, and we’ll have it sent to the Combat Master. Create a top-notch article, and we could use it as canon (with or without a few tweaks.) Even a top-scoring fiction can be marked canon (and featured within the official event fiction to boot)—just have fun with it.
Also, given that this one time we haven’t given out much notice—the phases will run a bit longer than usual. This is great, considering the scale of certain competitions and gives us all time to write some better articles than a week would allow.
One thing I’m sure we’ve all heard rumours of these past few months have revolved around Possessions, where we will be able to purchase all manner of blasters, swords, armours, droids—the list goes on. We’ll soon have a use for all those credits we’ve been sitting on and collecting. I’m still deciding on a shopping list (and whether or not I’ll need to spend credits for clothing.)
Still in denial? Have a read at Pravus’ Grand Master report—It’s full of the cool details and lots of teasers to keep us interested for the incoming beta test.
On that same note, we’ll be looking at an entire fleet and military rebuild once Possessions passes beta. Of course, we’ll have a process later that allows our members some input into what we purchase that we’ll decide on after the beta is rolled in. With luck, we might be able to retain or repurchase some of our most-beloved ships, like the Solari.
Gone are the times when we needed to log into IRC for a match of gaming. “Mav killed IRC” jokes aside, the Fist-O-Matic does what one might expect—it replaces the gaming bot previously used in IRC’s gaming channel. With a few commands, we can now use Telegram to queue, authenticate and submit our gaming matches between members. It’s also designed to prevent most instances of cheating, which will be an immense aid in running future events.

This is a great time to seek advancement in the club. The Headmaster is now looking for two new Magistrates to serve a six-month term in the management of the Shadow Academy, and also a Course Writer. While two two jobs are better summarized in Farrin’s latest report, I’ll add in that even without Clan leadership, assisting our Dark Councillors counts just as much towards advancement through the Equite ranks, if not more. So, go get ‘em!
Evant’s latest report as Voice was full of goodies this month, adding on to the excitement of Possessions. Leaving most of that project to Pravus, Evant still had a ton to share about ongoing projects and changes within the Voice office. First off, congratulations to Aiden and Kordath on their positions as Magistrates to the Voice. I know them to be cool dudes that are friendly to talk to, so go ahead and give them a welcome!
As of recently, I had been working with Evant and Atra on making species a better process all-around in the creation, and selection process. The changes there are well underway, with a compendium of all known canonical sentient species serving as a main resource, an updated wiki article and several talks about policies ongoing. In addition to this, Muun has been added as a selectable species with talks of at least two more that we might see.
Want to know about more of the other changes? You can either view his report or join the [Fiction Chat - Log in to view join link] on Telegram to ask about fiction, character sheets, canon, and so on!
Images tell more than words, and that’s true in the case of our Herald, who just released some new goodies for us to use, including electro-whips. Check out the report!
