Brotherhood News

• Last Jedi Trailer! - The biggest bombshell to come out of Celebration this year was the teaser trailer for Episode VIII. Catch the hype and join the rest of the internet in speculating what’s in store for us this winter.

• Wally gone wild! - Speaking of Celebration, everyone’s favorite Voice and apprentice to Darth Sheba went to Orlando to experience Celebration firsthand and take lots of pictures! Be sure to check out his album for all the great cosplay and inside scoop from the convention floor.

• Master-at-Arms - Our resident Panda-at-Arms continues to dispense sage advice that all current and apsiring leaders should take heed of. This month the topics were transfers, co-organizers and bolding. He didn’t explicitly say I couldn’t bold in recs anymore so I’m going to keep doing it :P

• Headmaster - Farrin continues to tighten up the well-oiled machine that is the Shadow Academy and gave COU yet another opportunity to place another of our members as a Praetor. APPLY!

• Voice - The Voice staff has put together an amazing resource in the new fiction center, which summarizes the key characters and events of the Brotherhood wide lore of the past few years. Bookmark this page!

• Fist - Big news in this report! Congrats to Junazee and Uji on joining the Fist staff. Also Heroes of the Storm is now an approved platform. I know many of you have already started playing this. It’s free to play and will run on just about any computer so there’s no risk in checking it out. Also, the GMRG results! were released. Congrats to Esca (C’ree) and Blade (Aura) for joining me on the leaderboard for the past quarter. COU continues to have strong representation in the DB’s gaming community.

Clan News

• COU Lore Summary - Spring 2017 - Thanks to Arch for updating this essential guide. If you’re new to COU or the Brotherhood be sure to check it out along with the Fiction Center

• Edgar becomes a Councilor of Urr! - I won’t repeat all that I said in the annoucement, but Edgar has been of COU’s most active members and driven leaders for over three years now. It was my high honor to announce his Clan title. Well deserved brother!

• Arch becomes PCON - Mar/Cable had to step down due to real life and I was left with a decision as to how to fill that vacancy. Ultimately I decided to forego the usual application process and appoint Alethia aka Arch. Arch is an organized, dedicated and mature leader and in my judgment is exactly what I need in a partner to drive the Clan forward. There are several initiatives at the Clan level that need immediate attention and I didn’t want to lose weeks running applications and getting a candidate approved. My decision to direct appoint wasn’t made lightly and is not a negative reflection on the pool of leaders we have in the clan. We have a strong base of talented leaders who would make excellent PCONs and CONs in their own right. Promoting Arch also opened up the Shan QUA position for applications for those who are interested in upper summit level leadership. All that being said I’m available to anyone who wants to discuss this particular move or their DB career in general.

We would like to welcome our faithful audience from around the planet to the newest addition of the Solyiat News Network. Today we start in the beautiful Pokerian Islands in which our most newest residents, a tribe of wookies called the Remnants have kicked off a week long celebration to give thanks to the Solyiat people for their new home on the Island of Avo in the portion of the Island chain recently rechristened the Pearls of the Chosen. The leader and member of the Jedi House of Hoth Lambow said this “This celebration is both a thank you to the Solyiat people but it is also a way for me and my fellow Wookies to connect with this new land that has become our home. We will welcome anyone to our island with open arms and goodwill^”

In other news the governor’s office issued a statement to inform the population that the Jedi’s unit stationed in Trepus is running an major military training exercise in the eastern plains of Storeka. It also advises to restrict travel in those locations for the time being. Governor Smok Kopchak said this of our new Jedi Protectors, “Master Jedi Drachen and I have been in constant communication over the last few months and we, with the extreme urging of our lovely Empress, decided it was time for his Jedi to take a more active role in defending our beautiful world. So we should all expect to see much more of them in the coming months and years.”

There you have folks it appears the Jedi are here to stay and we can all look forward to great things from them in the future.

Greetings Satelites and Satelettes! As you've no doubt heard, the position of Shan QUA is open for applications. Please see the details in the job announcement and forward your applications to Turel and I as soon as you can manage. In other news, the Clouds on the Horizon event is live! Expect to see plenty of hyping in the Shan telegram channel.

Bragging Rights

Sometimes members are doing super awesome things but for one reason or another you can’t put it into an award just yet.

• Blade aka Aura - Blade has been an absolute beast as our Rollmistress (and in Jedi Academy). She welcomes new and returning members with doge-tastic messages, has taken the reigns of the Praxieum project and is a central presence in our Telegram channel. Those who doubt the validity of the Rollmaster position need only look to the value-added Blade brings to the Clan and summit. Zeltron hugs for everyone!

• Talis - Talis is an example of how any member can stand up and contribute to the Clan. He noticed work that needed to be done and approached the summit about what he could do to help. He’s stepped up to lead the overall Clan wiki project with a strong start. We are still looking for volunteers, if you are interested fill out the Wiki volunteer form

I can't give firm dates right now for us, but expect to hear something soon. As for the larger DB the last word I have is the buildup will begin in early summer with the event in late summer.

That's something we need to explore in more depth. COU's arrival has altered the balance of power, not just in the ongoing civil war in the system but their egalitarian ideals will likely spread over time and shake things up throughout the stratified society of the empire.

Lexic - #askTurel With the seven Clans forced together against a singular, destructive enemy, has this spontaneous act of alliance caused the Odan council to look at each Clan differently? Do opposites really attract?

Odan-Urr as a whole? Probably. We're forming new alliances waves at Aiden. Though some old wounds will never heal, we'll tolerate Plagueis for the sake of the greater good, but we might free their slaves when no one is looking
