Introduction

This may be a fairly small report in comparison to my others, as I’ve had a fairly rough month in the RLs. Hopefully things will start to get back to the norm on my side so I can start focusing on my job here more.

I feel as if I’ve been slacking the last few weeks, and I’ll make sure to pick back up with my duties as Rollmaster and as a member as well.

New Members

We’ve had another great month of new members and one return from Rogues, and I’m really happy to see this! We’re nearly at par in members with the Club’s largest clan, and this is fantastic! I’ll be helping every one of them along toward working on their ranks!

Recruiting for Odan-Urr

We’ve been getting a lot of new members lately, but that doesn’t mean we should stop recruiting! As I’ve said before, we need to make sure we’re always bringing in new people who can join us and improve the House for what it is. You never know what kind of ideas people will bring in.

You never know what’s lurking out there in the internet that’ll help us out. Mention us to your friends. Mention us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr-- any sort of social media. Word of mouth is always a good way to start, though!

Upcoming Rollmaster Projects

E-Mails

I’m setting up a bunch of e-mails to help me out and make sure that members working their way up the ranks get the same treatment/information, so I’m working on a set of e-mails for promotions, Battleteam information and the like. These will hopefully help me make my life easier, and easier for whomever ends up taking over for me in the future; whenever that comes to pass.

The Journeymen Project List

There’s this little thing Journymen need to work at their promotions. They’re Dark Crosses. While you don’t actually require a Dark Cross as a mandatory promotion requirement, they’re still there to obtain on the lists you need to pick and choose from. It’s always a great feeling to get one while you’re a Journeyman as well. I know I was surprised when I got mine.

So the jist of it is; with the help of the rest of Summit, I will be creating a project list for those starting out in our House that’ll help them understand HOU more and help us develop our House and do some extra work that’ll assist with our lore. Of course, it won’t all be wiki work, but it’s likely going to be the bulk of it. The wiki always needs changing; and what better way to learn what you need to learn by helping expand it!

Journeyman of the Month

I thought I’d start something new and showcase the Journeyman that has really caught my eye throughout the month through activity and making themselves known around the House.

The Journeyman of the Month is: Shorurra!

After coming back a few months ago, he has really exploded back onto the scene. In the last month alone, Shorurra has gotten himself a Crescent with a Topaz Star, an astonishing 5 Pendants of Blood, 453 Clusters of Fire and a Legion of the Scholar. Along with that, he has also gotten himself a Dark Cross and was promoted from Defender to Padawan and is ready for his next promotion to Jedi Knight in only a matter of days! He’s also been dipping his fingers into the ACC lately; something I’d love to see more of within Odan-Urr.

He’s ever so present on the HOU Mailer and he’s always spreading the hype and asking if anyone would like to game with him. This is the kind of thing I love seeing. There isn’t a day I go by where I don’t see some sort of communication from him.

So thank you, Shorurra! For being the active Journeyman you are!

The Happenings

House Odan-Urr Competitions

To get our House up and practicing for the remainder of Fading Light and the next Great Jedi War, our recently departed Aedile, Mirus Hi’ija, had set up a lovely set of competitions for us.

Week one is just about over, but you can still join on either the light or dark side (the dark side is a pre~tty small but powerful team) and rack up those points for your side to win the entire thing.

News/Other

Looks like there’s no official openings within the Brotherhood right now! That’s pretty strange. But keep your eyes on the news. There’s bound to be something that’ll pop up. It’s a good opportunity to get leadership under your belts.

Although there isn’t too much to note, I’d like to point out the new Journeyman Hall course about graphics within the Brotherhood done by Mirus Hi’ija. I found it easy, but I’ll admit the one question caught me off guard. So give it a read; it takes a quick 5 minutes. Who knows. You may even learn something you thought you knew, but didn’t!

In Closing

Keep up that activity! We’re doing really well this month. Our Cluster count is through the roof and more and more competitions; both within the House and across the Brotherhood, are getting entered into and we’ve seen a lot of our members placing in the Brotherhood wide ones!

You guys are fantastic! Keep on showing the Brotherhood and each other that Odan-Urr rocks!
