Let's jump right in, shall we?

DB NEWS-

Possessions The Possession system is coming along very nicely. There has been a ton of work done just over the past few weeks. As a (very) old member of this club, this is something a lot of people have been both looking forward to and dreading.

So what does it mean for you? Depends on how they roll it out, really. But for what I am seeing, any special ships/armor/weapons/etc your character "owns" will be non-canon in the DB. Meaning you can't use them for any official fiction entries and the like. So if you are an armor guy (or gal) like Muz, or a ship guy like me, this is a big deal. But honestly? Most people saw it coming. You can't have a bunch of nerds with their own SSDs running around your space. Now right now I am not sure how detailed this goes as far as your personal load out. Does it cost credits to acquire the three thermal detonators that your character carries? Do you have to purchase extra power packs for your lightsaber/blasters? No idea. These details will be released in due time but I would encourage all of you to make plans for your characters either way. Look at the credits you DO have (again that is just an estimate, the final amount might change) and keep that in mind when the lists come out. Just a heads up.

Star Wars Celebration Europe

So apparently there was this thing called Celebration Europe this past weekend. If any of you in Tarentum attended, I would love to hear about it. I've been to two Celebrations myself. Celebration II just for a day, and Celebration III where I was there for all four days and held down a booth for the former Sister-Club of the DB. I met a lot of awesome people from the DB, including my Master, Telona Tarentae. Not to mention I met a LOT of SW Celebrities. So if you were at this Celebration or any of the past events, let me know! I'd love to hear them.

GM Report out

Clan or BT News-

So apparently none of you liked the Eden City comp. I had zero submissions for that, which kind of surprised me. I was wanting to see more activity out of the handful of members we have. I know it's summer and we have to "adult" when the kiddos get to screw around all week but we can't let that get in the way any longer. The lack of participation might also be because I didn't explain my vision to you of what I was looking to accomplish. That was my mistake. So here it is now. I want to have more interesting and engaging comps that you are used to. I like the idea of timed comps for battle plans. It makes you think on your feet. I also like running comps back to back with the same theme. That is what the Eden City theme was about. First, we have a recon mission to establish the who/what/when/where/how many and from that we can start to plan our attack and then we strike. But anyone can write a battle plan in a well thought out manner in the span of two weeks. I want to test you to see how you think on your feet. How fast can you come up with a workable plan when $#!* is hitting the fan right then and there. I want this team to be a lean, mean, ass kicking machine. We are the elite BT of the 2nd largest Clan in the DB, but we need to act like it. So it's time we do what we came here to do. So to that end, there are lots of comps going on right now. Several for Tarentum and quite a bit more that are DJB wide. Let's start participating in more. I completed four comps just today. I also want to get more SA courses under my belt, though that will be a slow process (sorry Farrin!).

Conclusion:

Order of the Trident is the sole military-focused BT in Tarentum. We are the tip of the spear. When the Prince calls for righteous swords of Tarentum to swing into action, we are the ones who take that call. That could be each one individually or as a whole unit. I'd like to have us move in both directions in the future. A lot more room to explore our BT and our characters that way. But I want to hear your thoughts. Where do you want us to go? Pel and I need to hear from you. So shout out ASAP.
