Some Fiction
Ranarr Kul was the first Student of Battlelord Pel and he would have liked to be the only one. Revoc Aryss became the second Apprentice of Battlelord Pel, which made anger flow through Ranarr's veins. Faith brought them together on a mission.
Yridia IV - Dakara Valley - Rainforest
The two Tarenti stood glaring at one another for a long silent moment. Ranarr Kul had his Lightsaber in his hand, he had hate in his heart and murder uppermost in his mind. The chance had come to give full play to the passions of a long time. But a man who has been brought up in a Clan like Tarentum cannot easily nerve himself to kill one of his own family in cold blood and without word spoken, except for an offence against his hearth and honour.
Before the moment of hesitation had given way to action a deed of Nature's own violence overwhelmed them both. A fierce shriek of the storm had been answered by a splitting crash over their heads, and before they could leap aside a mass of falling tree had thundered down on them. Ranarr Kul found himself stretched on the ground, one arm numb beneath him and the other held almost as helplessly in a tight tangle of forked branches, while both legs were pinned beneath the fallen mass. His heavy boots had saved his feet from being crushed to pieces, but if his fractures were not as serious as they might have been, at least it was evident that he could not move from his present position till some one came to release him. The descending twig had slashed the skin of his face, and he had to wink away some drops of blood from his eyelashes before he could take in a general view of the disaster. At his side, so near that under ordinary circumstances he could almost have touched him, stood Revoc Aryss, alive and without a scratch. All round them Ranarr saw a thick- strewn wreckage of splintered branches and broken twigs.
The lights went out.
BAC Doomsday – Recovery bay – One week later
Ranarr Kul opened his eyes, at the side of his bed sat Acolyte Revoc Aryss, the guy he meant to kill. The Cathar was confused... was it Revoc that brought him here? Revoc left as Consul Farrin Xies entered. Ranarr and Farrin talked and it became clear to Ranarr that Revoc Aryss saved his live. The Cathar told his Consul everything, including that he found himself in no state to lead The Order of the Trident at the moment, and he’d chosen his own successor.
The real thing
Some months ago I’ve been given the pleasure to be part of the creation of our Battleteam ‘The Order of the Trident’. Summit, and all members, I’m thankfull for this time as BattleTeam Leader. I enjoyed working with all you guys, and don’t get me wrong, I’ll stay an active member but at this moment Real Life is taking a lot from me. That in combination with the arrival of some new stars in the making, made me deside to step down from my position as BattleTeam Leader.
The same chances I’ve been given I’d like to give to Revoc Aryss, who joined our ranks about a month ago and has already proven himself to be a highly active member and worthy of a leadership position.
Thanks for your work, Ranarr! You have been, and will continue to be, one of our best and brightest. :)
Great Job Ranarr, thank you for your work! Congratz to Revoc!
Great job Ranarr thanks for all the work. Congrats to Revoc, cheers to another new battle team leader.
