Bothan Assault Cruiser Doomsday Orbit of Yridia III 0930 Hrs
Hades sipped at his warm mug of coca as he began to read a report from both his Battle Team Sergeant, Battlelord Pel, and the CO of trooper detachment assigned to the Order of the Trident, Lieutenant Colonel Jim DeLore. Pel, sipping some sort of caf beverage Hades did not find appealing was seated on the other side of the desk reading through the training schedule for the upcoming week. Since OoT deployed onto the Doomsday the two of them had constantly engaged their team in classroom and practical training. Pel was ever present in each member's ear, lending words of encouragement or admonishment. Whichever suited the moment and the individual.
The two were just about complete when the unmistakable sound of the reactor increase in intensity led them both to lock eyes. Hades was quick to extend his senses to that of the bridge crew. He could feel they were completely focused on their individual tasks. Having spent an entire career in the Imperial Navy already, both Hades and Pel knew whatever was going on it wasn't a drill.
"Shall we?" Pel asked. Hades nodded and stood. Hades moved out first and covered the thirty yards from his office to the rear of the bridge, which was laid out more like you'd see in a Mon Cal design than anything Imperial in origin. The two Battlelords arrived just in time to hear the CO of the ship, Commander Jisela Driet, inform the Communications Officer to request his presence on the bridge.
"No need, Commander." Hades said as he took a large step forward. The commander nodded to him. "Captain Hades," as Hades was formerly known as in the Tarentum Military "Consul Farrin is awaiting you to contact him on the MK. Take it over there" She pointed to a auxiliary communications suite. Hades bowed slightly and sat down. Within a few moments the worried face of his apprentice appeared.
"You rang?" Hades said as he tilted his head to the left. Farrin gave the slightest of bows before growing serious.
"Master, Battlelord Pel, we have a situation that requires your team's particular set of skills." Pel and Hades exchanged glances before Farrin continued. "One half hour ago, we received a distress call from Yridia IX. The current 'Mayor' of Eden is being held hostage by an unknown group of armed assailants. Why, we don't know. How, we don't know. What we do know is that they are well armed and there about two hundred of them. Other than that, we have nothing."
Hades looked down for a moment as his mind raced to find a plan. Pel pulled out his datapad but for what purpose was anyone's guess.
" The Doomsday is already en route. The Corsair and both the Cocytus and the Requiem will be joining you as soon as possible. The ship captains will effect a blockade of Yridia IX until we, and by we I mean you, figure out what is going on and end it."
"So, simple orders. Find out what is going on and stop it. Got it." Hades nodded to Pel before looking back at Farrin. "I'll send you details before we arrive in orbit of Yridia IX. Out." Hades switched off the comm unit before standing. He turned briefly to Commander Driet. "ETA Commander?"
"Four hours. Move your ass, Captain." Pel smirked as the two made their way to the turbolift that would take them to where their team was berthed. Pel had already sent word for the team members and trooper CO's to meet at the team's briefing room.
"It's going to be an interesting day." Pel muttered. Hades could not agree more.

Greetings Tridents!
This will be my first official report as Battle Team Leader for OoT. You received my introductory email before the Holidays so I do not need to introduce myself. But what I would like to do is thank the past leaders of OoT for their work and for an excellent group of individuals they have given me to work with. It is truly an honor. As you have heard a lot of recently, there are things happening all over the DB. The DB fiction is in flux as we speak. That also means Clan and House fiction is also up in the air until everything is laid out. So what I want to do is start OoT down the path that we are most likely to take. There will be some changes made in the very near future. Very exciting changes that will make OoT THE best and most interesting battle team to be in within all of Tarentum. You all will have a lot of fun with this, trust me. ;) Since everything is in flux, this report will be brief until we all know more of what is in store DB wide. Once that is revealed and I speak with the Summits I will more than likely send out a mid-month report to speak about what the new changes will mean for OoT in particular.
News
Fiction update from GM Pravus should be coming down the pipe VERY soon. The clan and house fictions should be released as soon after that as the summit's can manage.
Unfortunately, after a very, very brief time, Ophilea d'Tana has decided to leave us for Clan Plagueis. I am sorry to see him go and that's all I am going to say about that.
Competitions
We have one competition that ends on the 8th and that is a very quick comp to name our troop detachment. We have a great name, they deserve one too. It will take you 10 seconds. Easy medals up for grabs! Do it here: https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/competitions/9680 We also have a competition that starts on the 8th. And that is directly tied into the fiction at the beginning of this report. It will last two weeks and the winner of that comp will have their entry used for the next comp so make sure to get those in on time. Once it is approved I will pass on the url to all of you.
We will also be having different kind of competitions in Trident. We are a Rapid Reaction Force currently, meaning we need to be fast and think on our feet. To simulate that the best way we can is to have timed competitions. These competitions will have their details hidden until after you have subscribed to the comp. At that point you will be given the information of what the comp entails. A few might be very quick, others might be fiction or battle plane events. The winners will be heavily determined by the quickness of their response times. That does NOT mean not to use spell check or read what you have written. You cannot be sloppy in the field, so you shouldn't be here. You just have to test yourself and push your skills farther. All this will come later on. So get ready.
====================================================
Okay, that's it for me currently. I am currently visiting family and will be returning home at the end of the week. Myself or SBL Pel are always available to talk to. Even if it's just to BS. We'd like to hear from every one of you.
Make sure to tip your waitresses before you leave.
Till next time..
