Introduction

Hey my Plagueian peeps. It's the beginning of a new year. I want to say that I'm happy you all survived with me through what probably was one of the most tumultuous years we've had in a long time. Stay well and safe. Hopefully things will get back to a decent normal soon. 2021 is a brand new year. Let’s make it a good one.

New recruits!

I’m pleased to welcome several new recruits into our wonderful clan.
Give a hearty welcome to Sinya Ani, Dillininioh Colk, Gerauk Culan, Aggorath, and Alston Nailo! It’s awesome to have all of you with us. Hope you’re all having fun.

Promotions!

We’ve already had several promotions from all of our lovely and very active recruits.
In less than a month Sinya Ani has gone from rank Initiate (Novitiate 1) all the way up to Acolyte (Journeyman 2)! Awesome work Sinya!
Dillininioh Colk has gone from rank Initiate (Novitiate 1) all the way up to Novice (Novitiate 3). Good work!
Gerauk Culan has also risen in rank from Initiate (Novitiate 1) up to Novice (Novitiate 3). Way to go!
I see many more things coming from these recruits, and some others, in the near future, I look forward to watching you all rise in rank.

Looking forward...

So it looks like we’re going to have a pretty fun and full year. There’s going to be a fun little feud with Clan Odan Urr, more info will be coming soon. You’ll see soon. ;) And then I’m pretty sure the DC has a Vendetta or some other Brotherhood wide event planned for this summer. There will also be more lore updates for the Clan, and Aliso, including new locations. There will be months in between events, so if any member wants to do a competition; are new to making comps; and want some help, either in co-organizing or need advice, just let me, or any of the summit know. We are more than happy to you. Also, for the newest members of the clan, not only doing competitions count towards promos, but making and judging successful competitions count too. So let me know if you need help and I’ll be there to get you going, as will the rest of the summit.

• SARLACC - Ends 02/28 - Ciara and Turel team up to bring us an ACC co-op comp. Go check it out!

###Q&A

Alrighty, so I decided to do a Q&A #asktheoverseer. Got a lot of great and insightful questions, so let's get started.

Aiden Lee Deshra asks:
Are Freylia and Tahiri about to become besties??!!

OoC; Well, I like to think so. Freylia seems a little, how shall I say this, crazy. But Tahiri is a little bit too in her own way. Tahiri is also seeing some of her old self in Freylia, happy and gleeful in any situation, with a silver lining sort of outlook on life. Tahiri wishes she could go back feeling that way again, but she’s seen and done too much.
IC; Hmmm I like Freylia, so yes I’d like to think we’re going to be friends, even besties. She reminds me a bit of my younger self, so I really like feeling happy and carefree. I want to kind of protect that and keep that feeling close. Thus, I might very well keep Freylia as a close friend, if she wants to be friends as well.

Ronovi asks:
What's your favorite cheese?
You just had to ask. :P
OoC; My favorite type of cheese is Colby Jack. I also like Velveta Chedder, Mozzerala, Sharp Chedder, and Gouda. However, I’ve discovered after years of eating cheese, that I can’t eat a lot of cheese anymore, due to some weird ass reason that I may possibly have a weird allergy to it?? I truly have no clue, but I might know that for sure soon in the next few weeks.
IC; I like Sharp tasting cheeses, Bantha cheese ain’t bad. A little gritty at times. There are a few other’s I’ve tried, but I’m not sure what they were produced from. I’ve found that some go really well with certain wines.

Aliester asks IC: (All of these I’m answering in character.)
1. How does Tahiri feel about the fact that Wrathus/Solas chose a cocky, young, unknown in Aleister as his successor over her?
I’m a little perturbed that Wrathus picked this little shite over me. I mean, I was one of the highest people within the Synidicate, of which I did things I never dreamed of doing under his orders. Day of Blood ring a fracking bell!! I murdered killed a lot of Syndicate members, who truly in my opinion didn’t need to die. Could have served Tarentum in different ways, especially for the House. :P Then as I was in charge of helping change everything over to the Coven, I was his freaking High Priestess, running everything, while he ran off into the far reaches of space connecting with Aramastus. I know Solas wasn’t completely within his right mind in those times, and he got colder towards everyone, even me. He still cared though, in his own weird, cold, sort of way. But I don't know what Solas saw in Aleister, that he didn’t see in me, but I’ll give him a chance. I do admit though, his cockiness does remind me a bit of Wrathus, although it feels like I’m even more of an adult than he is. :P

2. What does she wish she could've said to Wrathus before he passed?
Oof, there are quite a few things I wished I’d said before Wrathus died. Guess the number one thing would be, Thank you. Thank you for training me, being one of the main actual steady people in my life, even though you could be a fracking hard in the head. Another thing would be, you were like a second Father to me. You may not have known my father, but you, as did he, taught me how to live and survive on my own. Life lessons, hunting, and pure survival were the things my father taught me. You taught me about the Force, the skills I needed to survive in this kill or be killed world, along with other life lessons my father wasn’t able to teach me about. I guess one last thing I wish I had said before Wrathus died would be, I wish you happiness, love and peace.

3. On a scale of 1-10, how much does she want to punch Aleister in the face?
Eh, about an 8 or 9. At least right now. He gets anymore smug or pisses me off really bad it’ll be 10, and then some. Might get more of a zapping punch.

Sinya asks:
1: What is the most important piece of advice you would give a new member of Plagueis?
Start talking to the summit and members of the clan, and then hit the Shadow Academy. I was really shy for the first little bit, but having my Master at the same school kinda helped in my situation. And the SA has a ton of info to process, which is fun and helps get to know the site a bit better. Also don’t be afraid to explore, and read reports, wiki articles and well anything and everything that seems interesting to you. It all helps in the end.
IC; Obey and listen to the summit, your Master’s and peers. Learn, train, and prepare. Respect is earned not granted, so strive to become the best possible person you can be for the clan, and you’ll achieve everything you want to in this life. And who know’s? One day, you might be in my position or another summit position. ;)

2: What is your favorite activity in DJB?
Ohh that’s a bit of a hard one. I love a lot of activities within the Brotherhood, love talking with everyone, playing games, writing, and doing competitions. I think probably my number one activity would be writing and creating with others. The pure exhilaration of creating something through fiction and drawing with someone within the club is really fun for me.

Erinyes asks:
How do Tahiri's experiences as a learner shape her approach to being Overseer?
IC; I’ve always had a love of learning and exploring, and I enjoy seeing others who share that passion. The fact that I can use my position, making sure those who need and want to learn, get the right Master’s and the training. I was taught that in any position I have, Respect is earned, not given. So if I can earn the respect of the Journeymen, assets, and people of Aliso, then I know that I’m doing something right. And that they will be more willing to listen, learn, and do as they are told. Thus Aliso and Plagueis will be a stronger clan all around.

Why am I your favourite? :P
IC; Huh? Who are you? :P
OoC; I like you cause you are outgoing, easy to have a conversation with, and just fun to talk to. Your character questions are my favorites and I’ve saved I think most of them, along with my answers. That way I can look back on them to see what I was thinking at the time and that is still the direction I want to take my characters in or if I want to make a change here and there. It really helps my brain think of how Tahiri and Ro-Tahn react to things, and to flesh who they are as characters.

And on a more serious note... What are you most looking forward to this year?
IC; Get the clan back on track from all the hits it's taken from the last cycle, and maybe get back into a relationship. Might look into getting some time with my friends, take it easy for a week or two every once in a while with them.
OoC; In my life: I’m just hoping this year will be better all around for everyone. Looking forward to getting back a somewhat normal life, possibly some vacation travel in. Hoping no more stupid stuff goes on, and everyone stays safe. In the DJB: All the fun and amazing events that will be going on this year!

What is Tahiri up to?
She’s up to a lot of stuff. Mostly clan things, training (both her’s and others), but there will be some fun times too. ;)

Any cool character development you are working on?
Ohh yes. There will be some big things coming out for Ro-Tahn, Tahiri’s brother. Some more backstory stuff for him. For Tahiri, and her family, there is some more artwork I’m working on for all of them, and more wiki stuff to put for both Tahiri and Ro-Tahn. I’m also working on some other NPC ideas. Along with all this, I’m working with my apprentice to develope her character and relationship within Tahiri and the Brotherhood as a whole.

Conclusion

Forgive me for a bit of the lateness of this report, I’m sure you were all were awaiting the answers from my Q&A. I had a bit of other writing to do in the form of the SARLACC event. Of which I hope those participating are having as much fun as I am. Now if you all will excuse me, I have a post to reread and get proofed ;)
