Near Atrophos Military Academy
Arx, Arx System — Brotherhood Territory
43 ABY
The Atrophos Military Academy was the pinnacle of of the Brotherhood's martial expertise. This knowledge at been earned through decades of war, every drop of blood split now a lesson taught within these halls. The most elite and capable of the Brotherhood’s military trained here, a daily wave of practice and drilling. It was here the deadly perfection of combat was instilled into the fresh minds of new recruits.
Kelbria tripped over some tree roots, falling on her face.
“Blast it,” she said, spitting out some dirt. One of the recruits she was working with rushed and offered her a hand up, which she graciously accepted.
“Thank you.”
The recruit gave an awkward salute and returned to his group. Kelbria cocked her head to the side, not recognizing the salute, before noticing the recruit was wearing the emblems of the Principate.
These recruits were as green as they could get, but that is what training was for.
They need to clean up their act fast.
Kelbria spit out again, rolling the grit of the dirt with her tongue.
She looked around for her fellow researchers. None of them had seen her fall. When the researchers had been ordered to the Academy, they were surprised. It wasn’t often they had been allowed out of their hole. It was safe and secure, but a hole it was all the same, quite literally deep underground. Kelbria was particularly excited about getting to spend some time around the fit and trim soldiers. Researchers weren't exactly known for their tight abs and rounded biceps. It was a nice change in scenery.
Kelbria’s excitement had quickly soured. Sure plenty of them were decent enough eye candy, but it was clear to the researchers there was one reason, and one reason only, that they had been forced to venture here.
“IDIOTS!” Vandrx screamed as a grenade bounced out of its intended trajectory towards a group of recruits, forcing them all to dive for cover. “These are meant to stick. Activate the adhesive as you throw it!”
Hello all, as announced by our lovely DGM, our first season is upon us. Parabellum will run through four cycles each complete with their own pieces of the overall narrative.
Each of the cycles come hand in hand with a pledging system. This is where you, the members get to help vote on the directional outcome and potential consequences for your choices.
Cycle One comes in the form of deciding if you want to help prep the military, or go for the pile of credits instead.
There are no right or wrong choices.
There will be consequences based on the outcome, good or bad, what is important is pledging to what you find most interesting and in line with whatever main character you are putting through the current cycle. The whole season has been planned with the overall main storyline and each cycle’s pledged branching decision.
I cannot stress this enough. There is nothing to metagame here, it is purely deciding what you find most appealing.
To that end, Atra did have a lovely breakdown of how the pledge system works:
Members participating within a Season have the opportunity to make a pledge of their activity towards a desired outcome for each cycle. In this way, member participation drives the fictional developments throughout the cycle.
Each singular participation within a recognized pillar of activity within the cycle (Fiction, Graphics, Gaming) counts towards a desired outcome for a maximum of 3 potential votes. Miscellaneous competitions don't count towards an outcome.
To vote for cycle one, please visit this form. Vote only once on the form. Your participation in the three pillars will be how many times your vote is counted.
The club has obviously had a lot of fiction updates over the years. What I would consider the “modern” era of club story telling started with us moving to be in line with the new Disney canon vs the old EU. All club wide fictions have been published to the Inquisitorius Archives. They have been organized based on vendetta vs normal updates, plus sections for each of the clans to host their own storyline fictions should they wish to put them there.
That said between non-vendetta fictions, GJW, RoS, and now Seasons, there are quite a lot of different places to look and trying to follow where the story has gone can be a bit difficult. While the archive will continue to have fictions uploaded based on category as it has, I have also created a new folder there, the Timeline Order. This list should be in order starting from the move to the Disney Canon, as well as listing which year the events too place. These are all the official club updates that have occurred in that time (to the best of my knowledge at least).
So if you have been finding it difficult to know just when things happened relative to each other, I hope this folder helps.

Okay, for real: thank you SO MUCH for the "Timeline Order" thing. As somebody who came back to the club after a ~2 decade absence, I had pretty much given up on ever hoping to understand what the current state of things was in any organized fashion, and this is super helpful in that pursuit.
Xen, I can't express my gratitude enough. The folder with fiction releases put in order will make my non-competition work so much easier.
Yeah the timeline folder is real nice, great move in order to preserve the lore and keep members engaged.
