Staff Changes

As many are aware, Viv recently departed as consul of Plagueis. I may be biased, but I think it's pretty nifty that Sarin and Mav appointed me as the new consul to 'replace' Viv. Some things going forward will be different, most will be the same. I always operate and encourage you to use my open door policy, but at the same time you should be prepared for me to come harass you and engage you into what you like and do not like that we're doing. For most of you, that's nothing new, but for some of you, I haven't properly harangued you… yet.

But first, let's announce some staff fillings!

Proconsul

There were some really strong candidates for proconsul and it took me quite some time to read through all the rather… thorough… applications (so much reading!). In the end I've decided to go with Selika Roh di Plagia (Slagar). In the past two years he's been a cornerstone of Plagueis, has really driven activity in his house and the clan as a whole, and already has an intimate familiarity with Plagueis. I mean I really could go on and on for a while about how beneficial he has been to Plagueis, but I think everyone is already well aware.

Ajunta Pall Questor

With Slagar's ascension into the proconsul position a void has been left in House Ajunta Pall. As a result I've decided to promote Dracaryis, the current aedile to the position of quaestor. Not only has Drac been a huge powerhouse of activity in Plagueis since joining, an integral member of the summit, and a huge boost to everyone around him, but his demeanor and relationship with everyone in the clan has been amazing. Drac has applied for several positions in Plagueis before and has benefitted each and every time. I would say, without reservation, that Drac's attitude can be perfectly summed up by this quote:

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”

Yet again, he's landed among the stars.

Aediles

Yes. Aediles. As in both. Woo! Drac has ascended, and Karness Muur has been without an aedile for some time since Taranae stepped down. It was during the middle of the Restoration event so we deemed it more important to push forward with what was going on than to fill the spot immediately as there was enough of a support structure within Plagueis to get through it. Now we're through it, and turns out we need two aediles!

As a result, I'm pleased to announce that Athrun Zala will be taking up the aedile position in House Karness Muur and Kelly Mendes will be taking up the aedile position in House Ajunta Pall. Athrun is relatively new to Plagueis, but that hasn't deterred him from being really proactive and involved in not only the Restoration event but in other facets of the clan. I felt that he could get his feet wet as aedile and continue to integrate himself into Plagueis further. This also leaves both battleteam leader spots open, to which I will let our awesome rollmaster, Jai'de, take care of.

Tarentum Momentum

As hinted at in the closing part of the Restoration fiction and briefly talked about in reports, Plagueis will be taking part in a cooperative event with Tarentum in the near future. We're still working out most of the details, but right now we will be looking in the end of September - beginning of October time frame for launch. Farrin and I have been in contact for quite some time about this, and we'll be looking at something pretty awesome we hope.

The main goal, of course, will be to have fun. We also want to get people in each clan interacting with others in the DJB outside of their own unit. Kind of a "get to know you" deal. We like that stuff! It is very good for everyone to get out of their own corners once in a while.

Fictionally it'll tie into what Plagueis just did in its Restoration event, and Tarentum just did during its Reanimated event. Tying the ending threads of these events together, Plagueis will require the services of Tarentum to (again) attempt to brave the depths of the Anchorage to retrieve the "escaped" Xander Drax once and for all. Or really, for us to find out Drax became the first victim in a long time to a deep, dark evil down there that we're all about to face head on whether we like it or not. In return, the Ascendant Fleet & Legion will be providing some support to Tarentum. The hope is that the storyline is able to bud into a full blown alliance that is mutually beneficial to both sides. With the new grey and dark paths, and Plagueis' recent history of getting stomped in constantly, an actual alliance with no ulterior motives or cliche back stabbing seems to be in order.

Telegram

This has been mentioned before, but we have a Telegram channel for Plagueis! If you're interested just let one of us know. My handle is @teylasramar and if you message me letting me know who you are, I can add you to the group.

While not a required part of being in Plagueis, it is a nice, convenient way to keep in contact with everyone as you can chat on the go from your phone. There is also a desktop version of the app and a Google Chrome extension which lets you chat from the comfort of home. You can also mute channels from sending push notifications so if we're chatting too much (we do that at times) you can just check it as you please. I will tell you though that we're usually pretty chatty on the daily.

I would encourage anyone who can download the Telegram app to their phone to do so.

Plagueis Storyline

On top of what's going on with Tarentum, we also have another conundrum: in our story, Teylas just took over as proconsul and Viv sent him off to do cool things. How do we explain Viv's sudden departure as consul? Well, in the ACC, two of our di Plagia decided to answer that very question! Take a look at their excellent match, which I have decided will be tweaked a little in the near future for official posting in a future report and adopted as official Plagueis canon. From the fight you can get the gist of what's going on regarding the change of power, and of course Viv going crazy.
