Introduction

Great Jedi War XV is, mercifully, over! I was very pleased with the clan's overall performance, which saw a significant increase in overall participation from last year's RoS across the clan. This year's 195 total entries from Clan Plagueis was a major step up from the 158 entries we generated in the Rite of Supremacy: Escalation. Before I get into all the numbers and shinies, I want to thank all our members for their contributions, large or small. The summit and I appreciate your efforts in this War, and every bit of your help is something we are very grateful to see!

Great Jedi War XV Results

In case you missed it, the overall results of Great Jedi War XV can be found here in Bubba's excellent breakdown post. Please take a moment to thank the Dark Council for putting on a good show this year, as I and many of the members I have talked to have all pointed out many improvements that were implemented this year in comparison to last year's RoS and vendettas past.

Plagueis' fourth place overall was a great surprise, doing us one place better than we were able to secure in RoS: Escalation. It was a hard fought battle between us and COU for that fourth place slot, and congrats to everyone on your contributions to our overall performance. I do want to call out the following members for completing all nine bins during the event as well, maximizing their participation contributions:

• Qormus Aquila
• Nora Olen

In addition, our members were able to bring back 12 Novae between the gold, silver, and bronze types this war. Beyond that, we also scored 43 additional top ten placements across the Clan bringing back those sweet, sweet vendetta points. We also were provided with scoring breakdowns for everyone in the unit, so you can see what your scores were for each Phase as well as overall:

Great Jedi War time is often my favorite time of the year. Or, more specifically, post-Great Jedi War time. That is for one reason: It's a great excuse to give out some fat loot to all of our active members. This year's vendetta proved no different than those in years past, with the Summit able to push out 15 different promos and awards, ranging from Dark Crosses all the way up to Amethyst Kukris!

• Khryso Mallus was awarded an Amethyst Kukri.
• Qormus Aquila was awarded an Amethyst Kukri and promoted to the rank of Equite 3.
• Nora Olen was awarded a Sapphire Blade and promoted to the rank of Equite 1.
• Sinya Ani was awarded an Anteian Cross.
• Aleister Mavros was awarded a Dark Cross.
• TuQ'uan Varick was awarded a Steel Cross.
• Zuser Whuloc was awarded an Anteian Cross.
• Vishi was awarded a Dark Cross and promoted to Journeyman 2.
• Tahiri Thorn Morte Tarentae was awarded a Grand Cross.
• Arden Karn was awarded an Anteian Cross.
• Livia Mariquita Daffel was awarded an Anteian Cross.
• Mauro Wynter was awarded a Sapphire Blade.

In addition to the thanks of a grateful Clan for all the activity that generated these award recommendations, I wanted to also give a shout out to the entire Plaguies Summit for helping to get these awards out so quickly! All of our awards were processed and in the hands of our members within a day of the release of results. Well done!

The Ascendant and Allegiant

With the Great Jedi war came new methods of recognition, as Clan Plagueis will finally be awarding both of our artifacts based on activities during recently completed Vendetta. Each awardee has been selected based on different criteria, taking home the title of Ascendant or Allegiant respectively. Just as a reminder Alaris and myself were ineligible for both of these awards, as they have been created in order to members of the Clan and not the Clan summit. So, let's get to it!

The Plagueis Ascendant, an award given based on total points earned for the Clan during the Vendetta, is being bestowed on someone that is a fairly new arrival to our Clan. Since they came on board, however, all that they've done is kick ass and take names. Rising to the rank of Equite 1 in 5 months, they're also one of the very few members to have picked up a Sacramental award for their activity as a Journeyman. So, with a total of 526.64 points, our Ascendant is Nora Olen. Nora will be granted the following Clan artifact, a crystal that can be slotted into a possession lightsaber:

• Mortis Crystal - A lightsaber crystal that can drain Force energy.

The race for Plagueis Allegiant was a close and hard fought one, however. The Allegiant title is a fellowship award that was voted on by the members of the Clan and given to the member that best exemplifies the values and traditions of support that have always been a part of what Clan Plagueis has built itself upon. At the conclusion of the Vendetta, the entire Clan was invited to vote for up to two members for this award in ranked choice voting. Our top two finishers were separated by a single first place vote, with the runner up Qormus Aquila having received 4 of 12 first place votes and 2 second place votes. With a vote total of 5 of 12 first place votes and a pair of second place votes, that means the Allegiant for Great Jedi War XV is none other than TuQ’uan Varick. Mr. Hat will be granted the following Clan artifact:

• Rakatan Energy Transfer Device - A Rakatan device designed for capital punishment that can transfer life energy from one person to another.

Both of these artifacts will be held by the member that earned them until the next Vendetta or if they leave the Clan. Congratulations to both of this year's winners!

Yar! Ahoy! Other Pirate Themed Words!

Our first big post war news item is the creation of our newest Battle Team as part of House Ventress: The Hidden Blades! Hanging their hats on Farport Station, a seedy outpost of the galactic fringe that's also on the fringe of the Aliso System near Aliso II, the Blades keep their hands in all of the illicit pies that Plagueis has interests in. Launching their nefarious activities from the deck of the Marauder-class corvette Bloodwake, complemented by her flight deck stocked with the StarViper attack fighters of Waveblade Squadron, the Hidden Blades are the newest force within Clan Plagueis!

Aliso Summer Festival

Returning after being a stirring success last year is our second (annual?) Aliso Summer Festival. Qormus will be running this competition much like he did last year, and it will consist of three one week rounds. We have this scheduled to begin Monday August 8th and run for those three weeks to conclude on Sunday August 28th. It should offer some fun, breezy competitions for your late summer afternoons and I for one am looking forward to it once again this year!

In Closing

Once again, I want to thank everyone for their hard work during Great Jedi War XV. It feels like we can really build upon everything that we were able to do over the course of this Vendetta, and really use it as a springboard for growth moving forward. We have the Aliso Summer Festival to look forward to as a nice series of competitions during the month of August, and I seem to be hearing rumblings in the distance. Could that be the Pro Bowl? Only time will tell!
