Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the latest Dread Lord report. First off, apologies for this being three days late - 'twas quite a busy weekend and Monday for me, but I'm glad to be getting this out there.
Now, let's get down to business. And no, not to defeat the huns. Sorry.
With the official wrap up of our feud with Vizsla, I had a chance to crunch a couple of numbers as we work on grading. In a sentence, I'm going to say this: Participation-wise, the two clans were very close. Placements will definitely make a difference in the results, and whoever wins and gains the ship could snag it by a razor-thin margin.
In total, we received 72 entries from 17 unique participants, out of 42 total members of Plagueis who could participate. That's an approximately 40% turn-out rate, which ain't bad. And while the entry number may seem low, bin systems do ultimately reduce the number of submissions, due to both the quantity of comps it provides and the structure of finishing a bin.
Speaking of, out of our 17 participants, four "did all the bins" - Scudi Ferria, Andrelious J. Mimosa-Inahj, Khryso Mallus, and Furios Morega di Plagia. Congratulations to you all, and thank you for your consistent efforts in the feud.
While official feud fiction has admittedly been a bit sparse, I am hoping to use placing fiction entries and RO posts to influence the direction of the final chapter of the story. That means a lot of you possibly contributed to the ending.
The goal, regardless of the result of this feud, is to have Plagueis aware of the man - curse his sudden and inevitable betrayal - who put forth the contract to begin with. In case you haven't read the fiction, our newest antagonist is none other than Laren Uscot, a former Proconsul and di Plagia. While Laren is no longer an official member of the Brotherhood IRL, I have consulted with him, and he is down to have his character turned into an NPC that we can exact revenge against.
As that story progresses, the tension between the Sith purists and NFUs in power may reach a boiling point. Clearly, my character is regressing back to her more reckless and powerhungry ways - not even a loss to Vizsla will stop that. How will you all react? What role will your character play in the future of the clan and how it's run?
Stay tuned.
With the DB running a four week event currently and with more on the horizon, we've tinkered a wee bit with the schedule of the Pro Bowl. Specifically, it will occur later in the year. Please note that all info I provide is tentative and subject to change.
Our hope is that the fourth Pro Bowl - which includes an old friend, Taldryan, and a new challenger to the bowl, Naga Sadow - will commence on July 20th with its prologue week, and then have three weeks of competitions from July 27th to August 17th.
We are working to have equal team leaders within the clan because if you haven't done a Pro Bowl before, it's team based, where you get to work with Plagueians, Tallies, and Sadowans. We also have two of our three event organizers ready to get this party started.
Any questions you have, I am ready and willing to answer - even with just a "I'll get back to you on that."
Behold - the latest list of events y'all should partake in, even as you're trying to recover from the feud!
Instead of the bigger font size, here's just a list of reports to read! Because there were a lot. Okay, here we go.
And that about wraps up another Consul report, lovelies. Results for the feud should be out next week, so I appreciate your patience. Meantime, rest up, but also do the cool things if you can.
Ronnie out.
