Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest Dread Lord report. This is, in fact, my 13th Consul report, as I have been serving in the position for a year now! I am so honored and grateful to have been Consul of this amazing clan for so long, and I am not going away yet. There's a record to be beaten!
...Yeah, I dunno if I can pull a Xen, people. That's...that's a lot.
Apart from that, I mean...a war just ended. Yes - the fourteenth Great Jedi War just concluded, and we will be [impatiently] waiting for the results. How did we do? Thanks to Liandry, let's do the numbers!
Here is Liandry's breakdown of our clan's participation numbers:
For Phase 2 bins, we've achieved 43/108 bins, or 39.81% of the total. For Phase 2 comps, there have been 57 out of a possible 360, which is 15.83%. Shifting focus onto the event long side of things, Plagueians have participated in 47/108 of the available bins or 43.52% for those who prefer percentages. Event Long Competition data shows 59 out of a possible 360 entries or 16.39% of the total.
For those numbers without the presence of entries from summit members, Phase 2 currently stands at 25/90 bins, or 27.78%, and 32/300 comps, or 10.67%, while the event long figures are 30/90, or 33.33% of bins, and when it comes to competitions the numbers are 38/300, or 12.67%.
Now, these are just raw participation numbers by number of comps completed. Remember, the bin system means that we don't have to do every comp. However, I would like to honor the following members for doing the most competitions within the war!
I am so pleased to announce that we broke our record for most bin completionists during a war! I am proud to present to you the 12 - yes, twelve - Plagueians who did all 9 bins during GJWXIV!
And here's the really cool part about this. Currently, we stand at 36 members in our clan. That means that 1 in every 3 Plagueians did all the bins. That is absolutely fantastic, and I am so proud of all of you for pulling your weight, working, and doing our clan proud.
So...how do you think we're going to do with placement?
Well, it turns out that we already have one nova under our belts: A Bronze Nova for our very own Alaris Jinn. Alaris was able to defeat defending HotS champion (if you count the Plagueis-Vizsla feud) Aiden Dru for the shiny. Well done!
I expect many more novae, as that can determine where exactly we stand as a clan and in terms of whether or not one or more of us will become War Heroes. We shall have to wait and see!
Folks, we get about three or so weeks to relax before we kick back for a fun Pro Bowl! Our organizers are hard at work, and we are looking forward to working with Tally and CNS for this fun and light event.
The schedule has been slightly modified to give us more post-war rest and relaxation time. Our fourth Pro Bowl will commence on July 31st with its prologue week (which is really only one comp to determine which team gets first draft pick), and then we will have three weeks of competitions from July 10th to August 31st. This is close to confirmed! We just have to run the dates by Mavant.
For those of you who don't know what a Pro Bowl is: Clan members are mixed up into three teams to compete against one another in lighter and easier fare. A different organizer representing each clan in the Pro Bowl creates one week of comps within the three weeks. It's a lot of fun, and some of us have jersey numbers!
We also have other developing events, including the return of Laren Uscot, who was hinted at in our war's run-on, which you can read right here!
In lieu of a typical #askthedreadlord, I decided: Why stroke my ego with questions when you can instead stroke my ego with introspections about this year?
In all seriousness, the point of #dreadiversary was to reflect on what has happened since July of 2019 in Plagueis. What have you enjoyed, and what do you hope to see happen next in Plagueis? I opened this hashtag up to the Plagueis chat and was not disappointed:
Andrelious says: Being welcomed into the clan and getting support during what's been a horrible year for me.
Hey, man, we're happy to have you!
Teebu says: I've enjoyed being part of the war, being a punching bag and bad pun maker, but looking forward to wreaking more chaos and be a driving force along with the rest of Opress and the Clan to help Plagueis ascend to new heights, adapt to our enemies, and prevail over them as we climb to the top.
It's "avail," but close enough. Also..."pun"-ching bag? ;)
Liandry Lhucca Cataa says: I've enjoyed seeing how you interact with the other summit members and seeing where I could learn from your example.
Awww! You've got a little something on your nose. ;)
Furios Morega di Plagia says: Bring back JO CTF. Or the Plagcast.
I can promise one of those! Stay tuned.
Brimstone asks: How many more subordinates is the Dread going to kill?
I'm not going to give away my secrets! Also, this isn't #askthedreadlord. :P
Khryso says: I've enjoyed all the new stories and lore you've brought into Plagueis and look forward to the further evolution of the Clan's story.
You are certainly helping in that regard! Seriously - Khryso is boss, people.
Turel (Rajhin) says: shakes fist and swears revenge from Vizsla
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Cue lightning and thunder.
Teebu also says: I hope the Dread Lord gets a black cat named Biscuit that I can chase around and torment while Ronovi chases me around with a rolled up newspaper to get me to stop.
I already have a black cat named Binx. And he's got a mean rabbit kick.
Tahiri says: I've enjoyed helping you and helping everyone feel welcome here. You were one of the first to welcome after Tarentum closed, and made me feel very welcome here. I appreciated that so much.
I appreciate you!
I want to thank each and every member of this amazing clan for such a fun tenure as Consul so far. 2020 has been an utter nightmare thus far globally, but to be able to come to this little pocket of the Internet and interact with some of the most creative, kindest, and most passionate people I know? That means a lot.
You all make Plagueis so extraordinary. I'm just here to show you all off.
Here's to another year of my dictatorship - I mean -
Here's to another awesome year of the Ascendant Clan!
