My fellow Plagueians,

It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. I will be stepping down from my role as Proconsul to take a break from leadership.

I remember the day, three years ago on the 20th of July, when Laren first approached me about taking on a leadership position as the BTL of the Circle. I was apprehensive of making the jump as a new member, but Laren’s dedication to the clan and his enthusiasm was infectious, I only had one question: How long for? He told me as long as I wanted.

I have now had the pleasure of acting as a BTL, AED, RM, QUA, and PCON for nearly three consecutive years with an incredible group of leaders to push me, teach me, and learn from me. I am truly honoured to have been able to give back to the clan that helped me through both good times and bad, as real life events took a nasty turn for me last summer.

But between me being the old man on the summit and real life obligations, I think now is the right time for me to take a step back and let someone else help push the clan forward. It’s been an incredible journey to be able to help the clan grow into what it is today, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here, but I will be happy to do so as a regular member of Clan Plagueis. I want to thank Laren for pushing me, Arden for believing in me, and Ronovi for trusting me.

Further details will be coming soon, but I would love to see as many applications as possible for the position. Even if you don’t get the position, just writing an app can be a great way to learn. This is not a light position - it requires time and dedication. It requires patience and understanding, and sometimes, it requires making hard decisions and compromises. But I have faith in our leadership, and our members that Plagueis will continue to grow and better itself as the clan I know and love so well. For whoever does take over as PCON, know that you are working with an incredible group of people who are passionate and dedicated about doing the best for the clan, even when it means it’s not in their best interest.
