Plagueis Proconsul Report 5: Hats Off…To You!
Hey Plagueians!
It’s been a while since I could since my last report and A LOT has happened! We have events, we’ve had changes, we’ve had news and most importantly, we’ve had lots of shinnies and promos!
Since I have to give you a rundown on everything that has happened since July, this may be a longer report, so buckle in and let's get into it!

Plagueis News
Changes In Leadership
As you may have seen, the Sooty One, Titius released a report where he announced that he had made the difficult decision to step down from his role as Quaestor of House Tyranus I want to take a moment to thank Titius for his hard work and enthusiasm in his time on the summit, I talked a lot about Titius’ work in his Sapphire Blade award so I won’t go into that here but please take a moment to read it over. It takes a lot of guts to admit when it’s time to step down from a position and it is something that many people have struggled with in the past.
With Titius stepping back, we had a Quaestor sized hole that needed to be filled, luckily we had a very capable member ready to step up and make a triumphant return to the Plagueian Summit. Enter Nora. Nora has extensive experience in leadership roles and staff positions within the club and is constantly working away. I am looking forward to working with Nora once again and seeing what the future holds for the House Tyranus.
Aliso Summer Festival
Back in August, Titius and Tahiri took on the tremendous task of running this year's Aliso Summer Festival as a way of helping to build the hype for the coming Pro Bowl. This event was filled with some fun competitions designed to shake the dust off, and that it did.
Over the course we saw fairly equal participation from both houses with an impressive 101 total entries over 2 weeks. There were 13 total participants with only two members doing all the things and submitting to every single competition.
Congratulations to the top scorers Nora, Azmodius and Cymbre!
Pro Bowl VIII
This was it. The big one. A Pro Bowl for the ages. Two teams went in, but only one could come out victorious!
As many of you know (because I won’t shut up about it), the Pro Bowl is always my favourite event of the year. It’s a great mix of fun and silly comps with a few “heavier” ones mixed in for good measure. One of my favourite elements of the event however is the dissolving of clan allegiances to create two teams comprised of members from all across the club including the Dark Council. This gives members the opportunity to interact with and compete alongside members they may not normally interact with. I know I have made a lot of new friends because of this format.
Now, because the Pro Bowl is about the teams and not the clans, I am only going to highlight a few quick things here for you.
- Plagueis had 20 members participate in at least 1 competition during the Pro Bowl. That's 60% of the clan!
- Normally with big events we see a decline as the event progresses. With this year’s Pro Bowl we actually saw a decent increase week to week.
- 6 Plagueians cracked the top 10 overall placements. Yes, you read that correctly 6!!
- In total we saw just short of 200 total submissions from Plagueians.
- Special shout out to Furios who beat me out for 2nd place overall based on a tie breaker (don’t worry I’m not bitter :P)
In the end the Frog-Dogs brought home the victory with a whopping 4076 points. But, no matter which team you were on, just know that I am extremely proud of every participant's hard work during the event. You showed up, did the things, and earned yourselves a whole whack load of XP, shinnies and for the first time in Pro Bowl history, a ridiculous amount of Novae!

Plagueian Competitions
This is something I’ve talked about a bit before, but for those of you who hadn’t heard the news, going forward I plan on having competitions running just for Plagueians. I am still working on ideas for how we can develop this idea a bit more going forward, but for right now you can be assured that except during larger events, there will always be competitions running just for our clan. I am trying to put a bit of variety in the competitions so it’s not all puzzles and games but a little something for everyone depending on what they feel up to participating in.
