Hello Plagueians!

It’s been a while since my last report, I feel like I haven’t talked to you since last year!

Alright enough with the awful(ly amazing) jokes, there’s a lot to cover this month, so let’s get to it.

What’s Going On?

We’ve already had a busy year so far and we aren’t slowing down anytime soon! First off I want to give another congratulations to Khryso Mallus on the promotion to Equite 1! This is a huge step and well deserved, Scudi said it better than I could already but can’t wait to see where you go from here!

Housekeeping!

Next up we have a few important pieces of housekeeping. Scudi has put together Lore Development Survey designed to get your opinion with regards to lore development within the house. This is really important not only for us but for you as well, the more responses we get to the survey the better understanding we will have as to how the members would like to see House Tyranus develop going forward and to find out what your expectations are in this regard. Tahiri has also revitalized the Master Student Survey. For those in unfamiliar with the Master/Student program this is where veteran members are able to share their wealth of experience with newer members to allow them to learn more about how our wonderful club works and guide them through the ranks. This is not only a great opportunity for new members to learn from members who have likely had all of the same questions once before but it is also an opportunity for veteran members to give back to the club that we have all spent so much time with and help inspire the next generation. So if you’re looking for guidance or want to impart your wisdom, please fill out this survey so that Tahiri can find the best possible matches for Master and Student.

The final piece of housekeeping is, simply put, wikis. We really want to encourage everyone to add to and keep their wiki pages up to date (or in the case of some members, actually create a wiki page!). The wiki is a great tool to continue fleshing out your character, expand on their history, and brag about your exploits. Wiki pages are also a great tool for others to get to know your character on a deeper level, whether they are trying to write your character in a fiction or just want to know more about them. If you’re interested in working on your wiki page and you’re not sure what to write, where to start or you need help with formatting, just ask! There are plenty of members who are more than willing to help.

The Main Event: A Fistful Of Credits

All right, I know what you really want to know about! Over the past month, you may have seen tensions rising between Plagueis and Vizsla starting with the attempted assasination of Arden Karn. If you haven’t heard about this aggressive attack yet (where have you been?!) you can get caught up on the story so far here. Go ahead, I’ll wait…alright, now that you’re all caught up I’m going to drop the bombshell. On February 10th we are going to clear the air with a good ol’ fashioned Vendetta!!

That’s right, no team up, no co-operating. It’s going to be Us vs Them. Between February 10th and March 2nd, we will have a whopping 16 competitions with a few of them running until March 9th!! Now, I know that sounds like a lot, but don’t worry; just like with previous Great Jedi Wars, we have adopted the Bin system. We will have 5 bins (Fiction, Graphics, Gaming, Multimedia and Miscellaneous) with 3 competitions in each (and 4 in the gaming bin) with participation points for each bin being awarded for your first valid entry submitted to each bin based on the bins point modifier (based on the bin’s difficulty level) and bonus points being awarded for participation in one competition in each bin. PLUS you’ll receive even more points for placing in one of the top 3 spots in a competition, basically the TL;DR here is there are a lot of ways to earn points for the clan and every little bit helps show Vizsla that we mean business.

A quick note about the Gaming Bin: there will be a Heroes Of The Storm bracket running throughout the Feud which will require you to sign up before the event actually starts. We will have sign ups ready to go within the next few days, so keep your eyes open for that. Also, please note that we have made sure that games required for participation are all free to play to make sure that you can participate in as many competitions as possible.

Ronovi, Declan, Val and myself have had a lot of fun putting this together for you over the last few months and along with some help from Atra and Seraphol, we are all looking forward to seeing all of your incredible entries. Now go forth and enjoy A Fistful Of Credits: A Plagueis-Vizsla feud.

Competitions Around The Club

• Music Makes the Scene: Prequels Edition Ends 1/31/31 - Scudi may have appreciation for John Williams’ work on the music of the Prequels but she is wondering if you can do better. Your job is to take a scene from the prequel trilogy and match it to a new song of your choosing.

• Aesthetic and Word Bank A Ends 1/31/20 - Our very own Vaeril has put together a Graphic comp, subscribe and create a piece of art based on the words and/or aesthetics provided.

• Crew of the Instigator Ends 2/8/19 - This one is just for members of Battleteam Opress. Wrathus has called on you to help build the crew of the Instigator by building character sheets for NPCs that would be found keeping the Instigator running in tip top shape.
