Hello there.

I'm Muz. Normally, I'd start off with a big old chunk of fiction, but not today. There's a common new-leader thing - introducing themselves and bragging up their past accomplishments. That's not really my jam. Most of you all know me already, and those of you who don't have probably read about me in the Shadow Academy history courses. And if not, that's cool anyway. I'll not belabor the point, the past is not terribly important, the future is.

"The future, you say?"

Yes. See, for all the cool stuff that has happened in the past, all of the awesome victories and great history we have, I still think the future is going to be better. The past is finite, after all...the future is as infinite as we set it up to be.

"What are you even talking about?"

Viability. Long-term viability. As awesome as our long and storied history is, it won't matter if we let ourselves rest on those laurels. I refuse to let us fade into obscurity. None of us want that. So to stop it, we need excitement, engagement, community, and a hell of a lot of fun to keep us all coming back for more.

And that starts with you.

Not the 'royal' you, but the specific you. Yes, you reading this. The guy that thinks he doesn't matter.

You matter

The old guy who hasn't done much in months because life has a tendency to get in the way.
The gamer who would much rather play Starfield than deal with any online drama.
The new person smoking the Shadow Academy courses and thinking I'm not talking about him.
The veteran grump who has been laying low for years because of reasons that will just annoy them to bring up.

You all matter. We are glad you're here. We want you here.

I have a lot of ideas on how we go about this, but none of them mean much until we hear back from you. Once we do, we can tailor our approach so that everyone has a lot more fun and gets a lot more invested. And that means you'll get MORE of what you enjoy most out of this club.
