Recovery

These losses are staggering.

Dracaryis poured over stacks of flimsi, covering casualty lists to fallen ships, and even lost buildings. He wasn’t acting in an official capacity, but a three time Fist Emeritus was always good counsel when it came to Plagueis’s order of battle. The destruction planet-side had been limited to the outer rings of Aliso City, though the starport had seen some destruction as well.

The real loss was the fleet. Multiple ships had been ripped apart from the “ascended,” leaving the Navy in a detrimental disarray. Plagueis would not survive an attack from any source if it decided to attack now.

And now would be the time.

“You need ship replacement, Dread Lord. The fleet is a mess.” Dracaryis was matter of fact, something Selika always appreciated. “I’m sure you don’t need a full analysis of the situation. My successor/predecessor will likely have those for you soon enough.” The dig at the Proconsul was less than subtle, but subtlety was for those with patience.

“Army casualties?” Selika asked quietly, trying to stifle her chuckle at Drac’s barb.

“Slaves mostly. Expendable.”

“But not easily replaceable at a reasonable cost.” Selika slipped away from the table and to the edge of her suite atop the Pinnacle. She looked over the damage to the city below. Much of the upper class and financial importance areas were cleared up within the first weeks. Slum areas and industrial districts were lagging behind, as per usual. Selika made a mental note to assign additional assets to clean-up assistance.

“There are other forms of bantha fodder, Dread Lord.” Drac approached her on her right flank, staying behind her but in her peripheral vision. “And the influx of credits from the Dark Council will help with those replacements.”

The woman scoffed and then narrowed her lips. “It’s nice of the Council to show up after the damage is done. Sure, throw credits at it and hope the problem disappears.”

She turned and looked Drac square in the eyes. “Why couldn’t you have retired next year?”

Format

I want to highlight this because I think it’s important that we all see how folks in our great Clan have been performing, not just on an award level, but beyond that. We’re going to be talking about overall activity here. Activity is what drives this club. Awards are what you get for DOING that activity, but highlighting the actual participation is something I want to emphasize going forward.

Being right into the Aliso Summer Festival and the Pro Bowl casting its gaze on us from the near future (spoilers), I want to make sure that each and every one of you is able to see what you’ve been doing over the month, because sometimes you don’t even know yourself. So, with that said…

News from the Clan

First of all, Congrats on Khryso for an amazing tenure as Quaestor. We are so proud to have had you on board and we’re sad to see you go. A big welcome (back) to Raiju. Feels right to have you here!

News from the Brotherhood

The Biggest News from the Brotherhood is the passing of a new Brotherhood Amendment which will give the CoJ a set way to expel members from the Brotherhood who have deleted their dossiers in case they act in a way that would result in an expulsion from the Brotherhood had they not deleted their dossier. If anyone wants to talk about it and what it means, feel free to shoot me or Slags on Discord. We’ve both been over the language of the amendment and we can help you through it.
