Qel-Droma report

Greetings to all of you, and welcome to the first report from your new Quaestor-Aedile team! There’s plenty to get through, so sit back and enjoy!

News

There’s been a lot of news going on throughout the brotherhood for the past month, Dacien is the new Headmaster, so everyone congratulate them on their new position! The ACC is now live on the main site, so all of you not qualified make sure you get right onto that, the ACC is a great way to flex your writing muscles against other members of the Brotherhood. Muz released a report, talking about our new Headmaster and some plans for the club with the advent of the new movies, so give that a shufti.

The next part of Fading light has been revealed. It’s a huge ACC tournament, a DB-wide battle-royale from which only the greatest of the Brotherhood will come out on top. Fight to represent your Clan to the Brotherhood, show that we mean business.

FInally, one of our own, Socorra, is the new Herald of the Brotherhood. That means all the sweet Graphics and robes are her purview. I look forward to seeing her work in the next few months, so congratulations Socorra!

House News

Within Qel-Droma, there’s plenty going on. Apex Brigade have released a report on the state of the team of lethal Jedi Hunters. Check in to see how they’re doing. Shadow Phyle, now led by Celevon Endraven, a veteran of the brotherhood, has also released their report. Both teams look to the future, rather than hang back in the past. That’s a mindset I respect and can support. Leaders who rest on laurels find they can’t get up when the time comes for action.

Speaking of, we have a new Aedile, Alaris. Alaris has been an integral part of the Brotherhood for a long time, always moving, improving, and changing. A dynamic leader, willing to get ‘down and dirty’ with his members to encourage and boost. I’ll let him talk about himself, but I want you all to join me in welcoming and congratulating Alaris. I think we’ll work well together. I’m already running my ideas off him, with some good turnout.

Along with something new, Celevon and myself, along with Galeren Nadrin Erinos Arconae, are working on something from the past, something to spice up Arcona: The ACB. The ACB is a platform for people to undertake ‘contracts’ for personal gain masked as for the greater good. The contracts are wide ranging, from assassination to escort. It’s a fun way to explore new concepts and keep your skills sharp while becoming more involved in the activities of the Brotherhood.

Competitions

There are a heap of competitions going on at the moment. The most important one to sign up for is the Fading Light ACC tournament. I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s a doosie of a comp, and the ACC is a great platform. You can find it here. There’s also plenty of other comps thorughout the DB:

Another Moment with Alaris

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Ajunta Pall, Dinaari, or Qel-Droma; it doesn’t matter. I have found that no matter where you are, the drive to want to win is strong, the pain of loss is strong, and the need to rise back up is inevitable. I have watched Clans become Houses, and in turn, helped turn them back into Clans, and there was no greater satisfaction than to watch, and be a part of, Plagueis and, to a lesser extent, Taldryan’s return to being Clans. Arcona suffered its first Vendetta loss in years just earlier this year, at the hands of Plagueis. I cannot wait to help bring Qel-Droma and Arcona back to the top.

I’m a front lines kind of Aedile. You will find me in the trenches with you, hammering out fictions and run-on posts, gaming, creating whatever graphics, or multimedia I can. I live for the Vendettas. I’m not a hard-ass or a zealot, but give me good competition, and I’ll be in the the thick of it, right along side other members of Qel-Droma.

I’ve started by signing up for Fading Light 2, which, if you haven’t yet, you should sign up for. It’s the inaugural ACC tournament. Mav, Pravus, Wally, I, and countless others have tested the ACC, worked out kinks in the Character Sheets and the ACC itself and now the whole shebang has gone live. If you’ve got any questions about how to get qualified or how to write a good character sheet, there are many sources you can use, including yours truly. So, you have a grand total of zero excuses.

Closing words

What a monster of a report, eh? Let’s hope I can build on Ernordeth’s great work. I look forward to working with you all, and I’m honoured to take on the role of your benevolent leader.
