Hello everyone, and welcome to my first House Ektrosis report under my new tenure in leadership as your Quaestor. Before I say anything, I'd like to thank our former leader Justinios Drake for his exemplary leadership of the House. A beacon of activity in his own right, Justinios took over Ektrosis as a Knight and saw it through it's rebirth to its current state. His focus and determination is something the new summit hopes to live up to.
This will be a fairly short report by the house leadership given that things are just picking back up following RoS: Meridian and due to the freshness of this summit's incarnation will not feature any awards. Still, be sure to read on as there will be a section of valuable information on the new Sphere of Research and Intelligence and upcoming things you can look forward to!
For those of you here who do not know me, my name is Brandon. My main character (and dossier name) is Nihlus Vexrii, a former-Sith-turned-Force Disciple who's obsessed with Sith technology, sculpting, and engineering - making him a near perfect fit to lead the Sphere of Research and Intelligence. He's not necessarily power hungry, just hungry for new knowledge. My immediate goals with House Ektrosis are to build on the foundations laid by Justinios in his work as Quaestor, and continue (albeit with mine/Morax's personal touches) some of the work that he had almost finished. Still, there's going to be some big stuff coming that might be different from his original vision and I'm really looking forward to providing you with the best content I can. In the long term, I want to see us dominating Clan events and forging our own name in the Brotherhood.
In the real life side of things, I'm a shingle-roofer by trade with experience in a couple different skilled trades - leading to long and homely winters with you folks. I have a wife who I adore, and is carrying our already-named son Maverick who is due to join us in June. Yes, I'll be able to say "Mav's the worst!" as a daily thing and no one will know the reference. It's kind of awesome. With my wife's pregnancy in mind, the only time you should see me disengage from the House is during Maverick's arrival and for a few weeks afterwards - during which time I'll entrust most of the daily leadership duties to my deputy.
If you have any problems, questions, concerns, never hesitate to track me down and reach out. I can be reached at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] or through my TG moniker, @nooobis .
Since House Archanis has been revived, Justinios decided it was time we re-open the House Ektrosis Telegram Channel. We believe we've got everyone added but should you be missing, let us know and we'll add you ASAP.
As reported in Rian’s most recent Consul Report (the Christmas edition) I’m not the only change to our House leadership. Appointed alongside me as Aedile was Morax Darkblade, who some of you may remember from his last stint in Taldryan. I’m sure if you haven’t met him, you will shortly. His door is also always open for any issues you may have.
The final chapter of the Caelus Chronicles (1.0) is underway, and runs from Dec/23rd through Jan/31st. This chapter will see the events that unfold following Taldryan's return to the Caelus System after the Rite at space station Meridian. There are six different events to compete in, all of which are now running!
There are plenty of crescents (and credits!) up for grabs, with the chance to secure the unofficial title of Hero of Caelus. Participate in as many as you can and drive the Clan's storyline!
During the final chapter of the Caelus Chronicles, I'm also running the first SRI Mini Project. The purpose of this competition is to allow you, the membership, the chance at producing the "blueprint" that we will use to construct the Sphere of Research and Intelligence’s naval assets. The winning submission from Arvalis "Kaz" Raith for the SRI Project #3: Letter to the Commander competition will be used as a rough blueprint for the SRI's ground assets.
At the time of writing, there's a ton of different competitions going on that you can participate in to earn some sweet credits, awards, and recognition towards bigger-ticket stuff!
Short running competitions, whether they be individual or a series are a great option for members that are looking for something quick to do and don't necessarily want to invest in a multi-month competition.

And here is the list of competitions available to you as members of House Ektrosis. At the current juncture, the Caelus Chronicles (yes, I re-listed Chapter V comps) dominate this list! Make sure you get those submissions in!
Always double check your work before submitting. This includes everything from your ACC posts, pieces of fiction, and any other submission you upload to the DB site, to things like report formatting and your own competition details when grading competitions. It's easy to miss a minor detail that will throw your whole day off if you're not careful.
For example, one might run a competition series and make a simple mistake during grading all of the competitions in said series that requires a complete re-grading of the series so far.
My next report will come on the heels of the Caelus Chronicles, and usher in the next phase of the SRI for you all. As a whole, the Taldryan summits have big plans for everyone in 2019 and we're looking forward to delivering on that. Prior to releasing my next report I'll conduct a small AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the Clan and include it, with hopefully some nice awards as well!
Thanks for reading, until next time...

Nice report bossman! Looking forward to working with you and going forward!
I never thought of pasting the competition page directly into a report. Nice idea!
I didn't, I wrote it all out by hand! :P
