Another day, another dollar. We are rolling, folks! Lots of great feedback and interaction in the past week with the changes to this report and its format. I hope that you all continue to find this interesting and worthwhile in reading from top-to-bottom. As always, if you have suggestions for topics or information to include (that is not included in Alara’s report) I strongly recommend reaching out to me! I want your feedback. I want to keep you entertained. I want you to be excited each week when you see this report hit your inboxes. This job is not about entertaining my ego, but making this club AMAZING for you.
Remember, our House creed is to have fun! That is a big departure from other units that validate their efforts through member count, submission count, medal count, or their placing in a club-wide Vendetta (like a Great Jedi War). I am a firm believe that if you find one or two activities that excite you each week - every week - and continue to do those things… all those other things will come in time. I want you to keep focusing on what makes you excited to be here and what charges your batteries! This is a fun place. It’s meant to be fun. So keep up the tremendous activity and participation in those things you love! And send Alara and I any suggestions you have to keep the fun going.
This week’s events are confirmed activities. If you are interested in sponsoring your own social event for House Excidium or Scholae Palatinae, please reach out to me with details. This should include a brief explanation of the activity, the date & time of the activity, and the intent (see below for examples). I definitely want you to join in these social interactions and feel comfortable to start your own!

This week’s focus article is the planet of Albicosus in the Caperion System.
The fourth planet from the star Caperion. This planet is large, ringed, and terrestrial. However, it is also extremely cold and houses a small colony. It is, effectively, a planet covered in ice and glaciers and mostly barren. However, it’s only moon - Ulress - is a far more significant hub of activity and interest. Mined for centuries, the moon eventually became hollow and then inhabited by miners and criminal organization elements. The city of Ulr Uvi became a hive for the villains, pirates, and scum of the Caperion System as it became an outlier in the system. House Excidium has targeted this as a potential recruiting ground, spaceport, and ally in their future endeavors.
Next week, we will be exploring a specific planet and some key features!
This week’s resource article details the Brotherhood’s Character Sheet Approval Guidelines.
Have you ever wondered what the ‘rules’ are when you get that remand on your submitted Character Sheet? This is a one-stop-shop for the mandatory elements of a Physical Description, hybrid species, and Custom Aspects. It also does a brilliant job of explaining Skills, Feats, and Force Powers - giving you access to see them all or understand the unique +1/+2/+3/+4/+5 system we employ as a club. If you ever wondered if there was a skill that let you dual-wield with bladed weapons without having Dual-Wield… there is! If you ever wondered what the difference between Mind Trick +1 and Mind Trick +3 is… there is an explanation! This resource also provides valuable information on languages and lore topics, as well. That way you can fill out a Character Sheet that reflects the character you want to play! No more canned character types or meticulous min-max blueprints from the previous system.
If you ever would like to discuss your character sheet, please e-mail me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) so we can sit down and work out a sheet for you.
As I continue to rewrite the House Wiki Page, I will share tidbits with you here. I always want to be transparent to the changes happening in the House. This will allow me share what is in my mind (and heart) with you and solicit your feedback. As always, if you see something that is incorrect, something that does not add up, or have a strong opinion (for or against)... be sure to share that with me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). I value each individual’s insight and ideas for the future direction and development of our House.
Logo of House Excidium:
We undertook a side project to review the House Logo. Not to say the previous logo was not artistic or good. It simply did not possess the versatility for modification or adaption to House themes as it twists/morphs/changes in the future. When I think of a great logo, I am always drawn to the Assassin’s Creed logo. Not because it is overly good, but because of all the iterations of the logo I have seen with each game released. I worked with the Herald to come up with a couple of options and I would like to hear back (please e-mail or private message) from you on which design you like the most. If you like neither, please submit your new logo to me for consideration.
This is going to shape up to be a very, very busy week. Lots of competitions that are ending. Remember to get those submissions in to receive credit towards your next promotion or award. You do not have to do-all-the-things. Instead, focus on the activities that you find both exciting and intriguing. Focus on activities that give you positive energy and avoid those that are soul sucking voids. That is not to say I advocate doing nothing. I am a HUGE advocate for member’s finding new things that test their limits and force them to explore new club dynamics. Every member should follow the Xantros rule and do at least two activities a week. This keeps our club healthy and happy… and it also really gives a boost to the people running events to know that you care enough to make time for them!
Last note, I am hoping to hear back from the rest of you about the logos. I would really like to get a Report Banner and Page Breaks created using a polished version of the logo. That way I can awe you all with pretty graphics throughout the report opposed to just dumping thousands of words on your face each week.
I am, your servant,
Braecen Kaeth
Quaestor of Excidium

Love the logos. Simple but cool. Nice report, Brae.
