Changing of the Seasons
Hello my crazies! This summer went by so quickly, at least for me anyway. Then again, I just moved, got a new job, got married, and I’m working on going to school this January. I want to thank everyone once again for participating in the Pro Bowl that was held recently. Great job everyone on that! I hope you all had a fulfilling summer and look forward to the autumn that is almost upon us.
As the seasons begin to change around us, there are a few more changes to get used to around here too. I’m looking forward to working with Jorm to bring Excidium to a whole notha level! When the new BTL takes HER place, Vindictae Immortalis will be on a great foundation for them. Jorm has done a wonderful job with VI and has always been of great support to our Clan and House. I know he will continue doing an amazing job as Aedile. Here’s a quick fiction written regarding our summit changes as of late:
“Alara?” Jorm’s voice drifted in from beyond the door.
“Come in, Jorm,” Alara looked up at the handsome Kiffar over her data pad, who of course was smiling down at her.
“We have some planning to do, you and I.” The Jester grinned.
“That we do. The Empress just finished briefing me about what is to come for our next campaign. I think you should sit down for this one.” Alara gestured to the chair across from her.
“Now that you have volunteered to be Aedile, you should probably know what you’re in for.”
“What, you mean it’s not all smuggling, piracy, stabby stabs, and pulling out eyeballs?” the Equite joked.
Alara let out a laugh. “It is all that, and so, so much more. Let’s look over the plans together.” Alara flicked the screen to show the holograph of a familiar Nautolan face. “What do you think of her?”
Jorm’s eyebrows raised with intrigue, “Aylin, eh? For Vindictae Immortalis? This will be a lot more fun than I thought.”

Congratulations to Aylin Sajark, our new Battle Team Leader for Vindictae Immortalis! Aylin has been a devoted member and mother to our clan for as long as I’ve been here. Her talents, creativity, and innovative ideas will continue Vindictae’s crazy parties for sure. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing her in this role and seeing what she will do!

Plans for What’s Ahead
During discussions with members and other summit leaders, a few things have been brought to my attention in regards to what is next for House Excidium. I’d like to address those things right now:
Excidium’s Storyline: Ulr Uvi is now ours. Kadrol Hauen was recently announced as the Hero of Ulr Uvi, which is super exciting. Now that we have obtained the capital, we feel like we have the whole moon to ourselves… or at least we think we do. More opportunities for you to expand our storyline will be available in the time to come. In saying this, if you are interested in helping with writing, proofreading, or just updating the wikipedia, please let us know. Summit projects are a great way to boost not only your involvement in the community, but also boost reputation and your ability to promote/gain awards!
Competition Progression: This month we are hosting three competitions for House Excidium, but all Clan Members are welcome to participate. They are light flash games that will help us all delve into the wonderfulness that is Fall.

Social Activity: We’ve talked about it, and talked about it, and talked about it, but I’m done talking about it. Jorm and I will be hosting special social events starting October 1st. Later this month I will release the schedule that we are considering. If you have any ideas, suggestions, time preferences, or anything of the sort, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Leadership-to-House Communication: It has come to my attention that my failures this year have definitely jolted a hindrance in my relationship with you, the House members. I want to apologize once again for any lack of communication I have caused. I know there was a lot, and like I’ve said before I have no real excuse for it. However, I can promise in the future that it will be much better, I’ll do my best to reach out to all of you personally and be more present in the telegram chats especially now that everything is back in order IRL.
I won't say too much about what’s ahead for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood because I don’t want to overstep anyone, but I can say that everyone should keep their eyes open for what’s ahead. We have a lot coming and though House Excidium competitions may be few in the next month or so, I can promise we all will be pretty busy having fun together.

#AskAlara Time!
Rasilvenaira Asks… Do we have a clear idea of where we are at and where we are going fictionally as a house? As I recall there seems to be a few fictional points that were neglected or overlooked and now there've been some changes in the summit that need to be addressed fictionally as well.
This is a wonderful question, and a totally legitimate one. I know that things haven’t been properly ironed out fiction wise in the last few months, but I can assure you that this is changing. We are in the works of finalizing the plans we have for our beloved moon and our beloved House. As mentioned though, some other things will be taking place first due to time frame and DJB projects ahead. However, I want everyone to know that this is happening and we are working on it so as to remove confusion, miscommunication, and questions left unanswered. If you have any concerns about this, or any other topics to bring up, I want everyone to feel as though they can contact me with them. I don’t bite! Unless you’re Jorm. ;)
