I want to open and just say, below are 12 promotions to Elder, 3 sacramental medals, and a merit medal to recognize the contributions of just some of the great leaders within the Brotherhood who have created and developed our community and create opportunities for members. The true core of our community that drives us forward.

My thoughts on this latest round of promotions

So I’ve had this discussion before, Elder promotions. It feels the same every time, and yet, it isn’t each time. A few things I came to realize in discussing who among our Equite 4 should be Elders with many on the current Dark Council that I’ll elaborate on.

• Elder remains a rank you attain by being a leader, not just doing things and participation in the various societies. You give more back to the community and help it develop and thrive.
• Some ranks have a built in opportunity to be a leader. It’s expected of the position. Others will make the best of opportunities in front of them regardless of their position. Yet all listed below are leaders who create for this community with specific information on each. Medals are always a great way we recognize this at all levels.
• The Equite 4 rank has the widest range of members in it I have ever experienced in reviewing currently active members. The hold up from promoting to Elder was always not to diminish what it meant to be an Elder but at some point I realized that it isn’t enough to let these great community leaders be presented as peers among the Equites. An Equite 4 who has never held a significant leadership role and only participates at the same rank as someone who has built DJB wide systems and produced incredible content and organized countless competitions.
• With every passing year this great community continues to build on an important past, and everyone gets more experience. So I asked myself the important question I do with every award I push to the MAA office, “Would I be okay if every single person who did what this member did, got this award?” in this case I can say that all the years of creating opportunities for members and building our community that the members in the list below did I would be happy with that.

It remains that there are, simply put, Equite 4 who will never reach Elder rank, because some members don’t want to or have no interest in being a leader. Only just participating in things. That’s always been fine with me, and if those members ask what it takes to get there, they can ask any Elder within our community what they did and they’ll be able to tell them. There are now a lot more of them to ask.

I’m doing this because I want those leaders in our community to see the path from their leadership to the Elder ranks, in hopes that it will inspire others to do the same in hopes they will follow the same path. There are still Masters, Prophets and Grand Masters among our ranks who can speak about even greater recognition yet.

Elder Promotions

• Colonel Alethia Archenksova: For his incredible contributions and work as a leader in the DJB at the highest levels of a Clan, multiple societies including helping pave the road on one and the Chamber of Justice.
• Kenath Zoron Ad Vizsla: For his contributions to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a leader in Taldryan and Vizsla, as well as work on the Grand Master’s staff and the Fist staff.
• Locke Sonjie: For his contributions as a leader for years at every level of Clan Naga Sadow, including over 3 years as Consul of Clan Naga Sadow in total.
• Kojiro Keibatsu Sadow: For his contributions as a leader in Naga Sadow, as well as work for the Shadow Academy, Fist, Regent and Chamber of Justice during which all these offices commend his contributions to the community.
• A'lora Kituri: For his contributions as a leader of Clan Odan-Urr, as well as work in the Herald, Voice and Regent offices and support of the Deputy Grand Master.
• Aurora "Aura" Ta'var: For her leadership at the Clan level, primarily at the highest levels of Odan-Urr for three-and-a-half years including as Consul, as well as support of myself as Grand Master as well as the former Grand Master as a Magistrate supporting the role.
• Luna Okami: For years of Clan leadership including the Consul of Clan Odan-Urr, taking on Combat Master and the ACC in addition to incredible contributions to gaming and the Chamber of Justice.
• Ira Ojiman: For his contributions to the community as a leader in Clan Arcona as well as Odan-Urr and creating a better experience for other members, as well as his work in gaming and other Dark Council offices.
• Xantros: For his contributions to Clan leadership in Scholae Palatinae at the highest summit levels, his work with the Shadow Academy on top of just an endless list of competitions he has organized creating opportunities for members and supporting the community.
• Alaris Jinn di Plagia: For his incredible contributions to the gaming community, and helping to make it a more rewarding place with as many opportunities as possible for members, as well as his contributions to Clan leadership and the Chamber of Justice.
• Teylas Ramar: For all his contributions to the Master at Arms staff in building a more rewarding experience for members, as well as his time in Clan leadership in Plagueis.
• Rhylance: For his contributions as the leader of Taldryan as well as a leader in Arcona, as well as his contribution to gaming as a member of the Fist staff.
