Good evening everyone,
Tonight the Regent Staff has implemented Armor Upgrades
First and foremost; Armor Upgrades are not purchasable. Like Droid Upgrades and Weapon Upgrades, these are pre-written selectable upgrades that take the place of the former modification slots. Like those upgrades, in some cases you'll see additional options where there weren't as many before, and vice versa. There's some interesting options to choose from, especially as you move up in rarity, but you still might not see everything that you hoped and dreamed for. If you notice something you wish was in the system, feel free to submit a suggestion for consideration in the Suggestion Box (linked in the bottom of my report) with "Armor Upgrade" as the suggestion type and we'll take a look at it.
In total, 84 upgrades have been deployed for Armor Upgrades v1. A big thanks to Teebu for assisting me with doing the legwork for development of armor upgrades, and Thran for helping deploy them tonight. In order to select your new upgrades, you need to go to the item's admin/manage page and select "Change/Add" on whichever slot you wish to add an upgrade aspect to, similar to weapons and droids.
There are 6 different types of Armor Upgrades to choose from:
The slotting scheme for armor is as follows:
Special Note: Attires
Attires are things such as uniforms, or things too light to be classified as actual armor (whether the name says it is or not). These items do not get the Helmet, Enclosed, or Resistance upgrades, only Armor Enhancements (as they once had Armor Modification aspects). In addition, any of these items that once had the Armor Resistance Modification aspect now have no option for resistance, as these are coded for Light/Medium/Heavy Armors only. Attire is clothing, nothing more.
Special Note: Brotherhood Robes
The Brotherhood Robes items (Novitate, Journeyman, Equite/Tailored, Elder Tailored) are a special use-case. These items are specifically for what's found in the selector for each of those echelons, unless another item (like Mandalorian Armor) exists in possessions. As it stands, these armors have an additional slot where you can choose for yourself what type of armor it is (Attire, Light, Medium, Heavy), and there are some of them that come with helmets or are enclosed. To make things clear: You need to choose an upgrade that matches the type of armor you've chosen for these items, or it may affect your realism/fiction grading, as you're effectively using an armor upgrade that is unsupported by the type of armor you've chosen. It works the same way as any other upgrades, use common sense; you wouldn't put a hangar on a starfighter, because that makes zero sense. The same thing applies here.
A quick reminder that while there are not a lot of Legendary-rarity armor choices, that list will expand exponentially once Masterwork Possessions comes into place.
As always...

Great stuff!!
Question for how I "should" do things, esp with this update.
My dossier robes are the "Brash" armour set and I've been using the "Jedi General Armor" prototype to represent them. Would it be better to swap out for the Equite Brotherhood Robes or is what I've got "ok"?
Amazing work as always for you and your staff. I can't wait to play around with these new toys!
Windos, that is correct. It would be better to use the Equite Brotherhood Robes for that.
Great job to Anubis, Teebu and Bentre with these upgrades!
These are some amazing options. Great work #TeamRegent.
Awesome! I’m excited to check out the new options!
Not going to lie. This might be the Regent staffs best work. Multiple options in every category that I want. The options make sense and are useful across the board. Fantastic job everyone.
So many good choices. Excellent work from the Regent and his staff.
What are Masterwork Possessions? When is it coming?
