Good evening everyone,
Tonight the Regent Staff is releasing its second Booster Release. This one has been in the works the past few months, and we're happy to launch. :D As some of you may have already seen from my message on 04/21 in a few Discord channels, I've hired [Korvis] as my newest Magistrate to replace LittleBear Teebu. I'd like to thank Teebu for his service to the staff and the Brotherhood at large over his six month term, it was great having him and I hope to see him re-apply once real life has settled down a bit.
Korvis will serve for six months from his appointment date, at which time I'll re-open the position to applications. He's already jumped head first into the grind, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he accomplishes as a Regent Staff member. The next application period opens towards the end of the Great Jedi War for Bentre's position, so stay tuned in the future for that opening.
The Confederacy Booster Release contains 22 new items (not counting the flights or duplicated items for clans), including some items from the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which up until now only had a very minor amount of related items in our stores (two droids). It's very possible you will continue to see CIS items trickle into future booster releases. Below are two lists with what we've released tonight, and you can find the full list of clickable prototype pages here by using the Confederacy tag in the "Release" filter CodeGod James implemented a while ago. You'll also see ever previous release has now been added to this list as well, big thanks to Thran for sorting through all those items (many hundreds of prototypes). This was Korvis' first release as my new Magistrate, and he did admirably for his first shot at implementation!
Happy purchasing! Be sure to email us at the Regent Staff Mailing List (linked in "Important Links" below) to report any errors you may find!
As usual, I am planning to open the Celebration Store on May 4th (early morning EST, while I'm on my lunch break). There are a few new choice additions I believe the members will enjoy, and the store will stay open for approximately one week from the day it opens.
As promised a few reports ago, Thran and I have revamped the possessions used by the various factions (including some of the Brotherhood's and it's societies' possessions) to bring them up to snuff with recent changes and progress in the fictional history of our club, working alongside Bubba and Idris to make sure everything conforms nicely and isn't too over-the-top. You can go check those out at your leisure, but no faction has been left untouched.
Some of the biggest changes occur with the Severian Principate, who have as of the conclusion of the last Rite of Supremacy been somewhat demilitarizing as their overall political landscape changes. They've retrofitted some of their ships, including their Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, to be hospital ships. The Brotherhood has grasped at the opportunity that has provided, bolstering it's own assets with a revamp to some of its fleets. Arx is now legitimately protected by a Golan M3185 and high-grade planetary shield (thanks Planetary Assets!), and Mattock Station is being bolstered by several Telgorn Corporation Repair Yards to ensure it can service every clan's needs for repairs. The Tenixir Revenants have become more asymmetric, and their revamped fleets reflect the fact they're a smaller (yet still formidable) band of pirates versus a large state.

The Regent Staff is making great progress with Land Vehicle Upgrades even though we've just completed Armor Upgrades not too long ago. With the Great Jedi War coming up, I expect this to be ready for final review by the two evil overlords sometime not long after the war ends. During vendettas, it's been custom as long as I've been a member of the Regent Staff office that Magistrates and the Praetor focus solely on the Great Jedi War, so I'll be handling the aspect queue and any project work I can manage when I have time during that period.
Like upgrades for Space Vehicles, Land Vehicle Upgrades will be purchasable prototypes that you'll then need to slot into your speeders and other land or atmospheric-based craft. They will remain the only two types of member-facing upgrades that require an additional purchase. Droids, Armor, Weapons will remain the same upgrade aspect-type upgrades as they have been implemented as. As this is the final step for full implementation of member-facing upgrades, a massive undertaking that's been in the works for years at this point as we switch out modification aspects for what was originally intended (but not ready at possessions launch), pretty well every other project has been put on-hold until Land Vehicle Upgrades are completed.
Staff Member(s): Anubis (Zxyl)
I am continuing to plug away on this project and the Masterwork Possessions prototypes, making progress towards completion. The finishing touches and implementation of this project requires the XP project to be finalized and implemented by our CodeGod, so I am not rushing it. There is a long way to go, but it is still in the works and I'm so excited to be able to eventually launch this project.
To recap details released from an earlier report:
Staff Member(s): Entire Staff
The Regent Staff is going to continue doing these booster releases as our main form of item drops, dropping these once we feel there are enough item prototypes written to do so without detracting from our other, more substantial project work like upgrades. There's lots of Star Wars media planned, so we have no doubt that the House of Mouse will continue to feed us content that we can then bring to you, the membership. If the canon content starts to slow, too will the releases, and they'll be carefully paced.
At some point the Regent Staff is going to do a review of all existing member ships, and make determinations where we feel is due to make clan versions of these vessels. We've already made that determination on at least one item prototype for the Faction Possessions rework, so this is something that we'll be doing once our schedule clears up a bit and major projects are off the docket.
I'm planning on the Regent Staff implementing a massive expansion to the Clan Fleet Upgrade item type, which will allow clans an additional method of spending their cold hard credits in the form of purchasable upgrades for their capital ships. At this time, the only Clan Fleet Upgrades in the system are the unique Artifact rarity upgrades awarded for vendettas. This will cease to be a thing, and going forward Legendary rarity upgrades will be rewarded for those events. Purchasable upgrades will range from Uncommon to Epic in rarity, keeping in line with the capital ship rarities that Clans have the credits/ability to purchase.
As always...
