Hello friends!
Happy Life Day! In this report I'm going to focus on the Life Day Celebration Event being run by the Regent Staff, discussing Lightsaber Resistance again, and letting you know about the refreshed Item Prototype Approval Policy.
In honor of Life Day, the Regent Staff is running a fun series of competitions that runs from today (Nov 17) until Dec 8th, with half running now and half starting on Nov 28th. These competitions are designed to be quick, easy, and hopefully fun - with one competition being your chance at using the refreshed Item Prototype Approval Policy to create a specialty item for the Celebration Store. At the end of the Life Day Celebration series, the top three will each be granted a free Legendary-rarity item by the Regent. Who doesn't love free stuff.
The Celebration Store is also open, for those that haven't quite noticed yet! The store will remain open until end-of-day November 27th, when the first half of the competition finishes.

Next up for a policy refresh we have the Item Prototype Approval Policy. Since possession was first introduced and with every Regent since, we've hoped (and wanted) to eventually expand beyond regular Star Wars canon and legends items, allowing the members to submit their own items for approval and possible inclusion in our stores. A few items that have already been added under the previous iteration of this policy include the Arx Wolf, Harokan Polecat, Cyrathral. We took a good, long and hard look at the policy to see what needed adjustment and trimming to make it more enticing and easier for members to submit proposals to us for the items they really want, but don't fit within canon and legends. Stuff like custom species, a sick weapon, cool armor, etc.
While most of the update was just cleaning up language to make things clearer, reducing language we thought was a bit harsh (and offering an explanation as to why we won't add a certain item), the biggest change in the policy comes with removal of the wiki page requirement. Previously, you needed to make a wiki page for the item you planned on submitting, prior to submission. That is no longer a hard requirement, and instead a wiki page is really only necessary for approved items, making the whole item submission process easier.

As discussed during my last report, the Regent Staff has been completing a thorough examination of lightsaber resistant materials for inclusion into possessions, and how we can best make use of them. I'm happy to report that we've completed the first round of implementation of this review, adding phrik and cortosis to the system and making some adjustments to existing items along the way.
There are three varying levels of cortosis weave being added to the system. As the canon cortosis article on Wookieepedia states, cortosis was useless on its own if forged into a weapon or armour because it was a very brittle metal, and would break easily. So our solution to including this in our system is more simplistic, having it simply woven into other materials (making it the “special” armorweave. Regular armorweave remains unchanged). Each level of cortosis weave will add additional protection against lightsaber strikes, and at this time there is no “pure” cortosis alloy aspect given the above. This may change at a later date.
Minor Cortosis Weave Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been constructed with a minor amount of rare cortosis metal weaved into the main material. This minor cortosis weave gives {{owner}} the ability to resist three to four strikes or glancing blows of a lightsaber using {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}}. Continuous contact begins to melt through in one second.
Moderate Cortosis Weave Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been constructed with a moderate amount of rare cortosis metal weaved into the main material. This major cortosis weave gives {{owner}} the ability to resist four to six strikes or glancing blows of a lightsaber using {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} before this protection is no longer provided. Continuous contact begins to melt through in two seconds.
Major Cortosis Weave Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been constructed with a large amount of rare cortosis metal weaved into the main material. This major cortosis weave gives {{owner}} the ability to resist six to eight strikes or glancing blows of a lightsaber using {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} before this protection is no longer provided. Continuous contact begins to melt through in three seconds.
There is a single level of phrik alloy being added to the system, to cover (as many as possible) phrik-alloy items in the system. This includes the new Phrik Electro-staff, and Diamond Sword. To make that sacramental more neutral with the current fictional direction of the club (and because it didn't work anyways given it was always made of a lightsaber resistant metal) the Sith Alchemy Weapon aspect has been removed from the Diamond Sword. For the same reason (neutrality) the Sith Alchemy Armor aspect has been removed from the ACC Bracer and Gauntlet and replaced with the below aspect, and that specific armour aspect will only apply to strictly dark side aligned armors going forward.
Phrik Alloy Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been constructed out of nearly indestructible phrik alloy. This phrik alloy allows {{owner}} to use {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} to resist blaster and lightsaber attacks.
The Pure Beskar Alloy aspect has been rewritten slightly, just to bring it more in line with the language of other lightsaber resistant aspects. We’ve added a new, specific aspect for the Silver Sash given it's description states it has beskar (previously Mandalorian Iron prior to update) flakes woven into it, and like the ACC reward items removed the Sith Alchemy Armor aspect. The Mandalorian Vambrace and Elder Lightsaber weapon upgrades remain unchanged and are still selectable.
Pure Beskar Alloy Construction
Thjs {{original_item_name}} has been constructed with pure beskar alloy. This pure beskar alloy allows {{owner}} to use {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} to resist blaster and lightsaber attacks.
Beskar Flake Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been constructed with pure beskar flakes woven into its fabric. This beskar flake construction allows {{owner}} to use {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} to resist lightsaber attacks.
The ascendant crystal items released to the Shroud Syndicate Market after the last Great Jedi War also have their own lightsaber resistance aspect, similar to the moderate cortosis weave construction aspect.
Ascendant Crystal Construction
This {{original_item_name}} has been created using ascendant crystals. These ascendant crystals allow this {{original_item_name}} to resist four to six strikes or glancing blows of a lightsaber using {{gender:his, her, its, their}} {{original_item_name}} before this protection is no longer provided. Continuous contact begins to melt through in two seconds.
Because all other iconic lightsaber resistant items are available in the Celebration Store, we thought it best if the Sith Dagger, Sith Sword, and Sith Scepter were to join that store instead. As such, these three weapons have been unstocked from Antei Armaments and going forward will only be available for purchase from the Celebration Store. The (Snoke) Praetorian Guard, and other electromagnetic generator weapons (such as the Electro-Whip, Purge Trooper weapons, etc) will remain in Antei Armaments.
We all felt it was a bit of a crime that the Dark Age Sith Armor, which is supposed to be the "special version" of the regular Dark Armor, was not lightsaber resistant in some way. To change that, we've unstocked the old Epic version from the store, and added a new, lightsaber resistant (using the Sith Alchemy Armor aspect that was previously used on the Silver Sash) version in its place. Its rarity has been increased to Legendary as a result. You'll still be able to sell the old one if you want, but it won't be available for purchase going forward.
As always...

And..... I'm broke again.
This is why we can have nice things. But not money. :D
