News

New Intelligence!

We officially have dates for WAR! In case you have yet to see the news post from our wonderful GM, the war will officially begin on 13 October and will run for five weeks and end on 19 November. It is officially time to dust off those fighting pants and find an adequately sized belt (unless you prefer spandex, I don’t judge)

Fiction Update!

In addition to the war announcement, there is also a bit of fiction floating around, just waiting to be read. You can find a link to it here as well as a TL;DR for those who don’t have the time to push through the impressive 16 pages that Wally has produced for us. If you weren’t on the hype train before, you will be by the time you’re finished.

Saturday Space Chats

Zuji has launched some new content for the HQD Facebook page: #SaturdaySpaceChats! She interviews one unique individual for the purpose of attracting more suckers people to join us here in the void of space. Who knows, the next member featured could be YOU! More Reports: Just What I Wanted!

Your ever lovely Quaestor, Terran, has put out another thrilling report for your enjoyment. Don’t tell him we already knew his secret ingredient was basil.

Lucine has given us an amazingly alliterative announcement! Check it out if you like penguins and cats. Especially when they’re dressed as pirates.

There are also updates from the FIST as well as the VOICE if those are things you might be interested in reading.

As usual there are a plethora of shinies out there for you to snatch up! And this is the portion of the program where you can find some of those opportunities.

Fiction Competitions

Secret Sibling: Where your character finds out that they, you guessed it, actually have a sibling. Are they BFF’s? Do they hate each other? This one is run by our newest Clan Nut…. er… PCON, Kordath. Go and make him read your fictions. Give him a reason to put down the bottle (or maybe a reason to drink a little more).

Lineage: Got mommy issues? This is the competition for you! Here, you are to write about how your character’s relationship with their parents affects their lives, either for the better or worse.

Zombie run: Where you collect some diamonds while trying to escape from zombies! DON’T LET THEM GET YOUR BRAINS!

The Pictures in the Sounds - 5: Where you have an opportunity to create some beautiful artwork based on the song that Atra has provided for you. Sounds like fun to me.

More Than Words #6: The Return!: Where you are provided a script and must do your best reading. Any aspiring voice actors might want to check this one out, they’re always fun!

This month on #asktheblueberry:

Abby wants to know: What will Leeadra think of the events of the last fiction update?

Leeadra is going to be very angry. She is fiercely protective of those she considers friends and the people who have treated her with kindness. The fact that Atty is in danger (and maybe dead) and Lucine is shot after risking her life on a mission with Rhylance will just make her want those involved dead; more so than she otherwise would have. She would likely be one of the first to volunteer for a rescue mission for the Shadow Lady, even if it meant risking her own life.

That’s a good question. Whatever the answer is (and I highly suspect it is 42) I’m not there yet.

One more thing…

There will likely be a few changes coming to HQD in the near future. I will be stepping down from my leadership role and leaving you all in very capable hands. First and foremost, I want to let you all know that I have appreciated working for each and every one of you. Secondly, I want you all to keep being awesome as I join you from within. That’s right. You have to compete with me now. Bwahahahahahaha!
