Shadow Gate News

My beloved friends of Shadow Gate, much has happened in the time since my last report and I want to start by saying that I am beyond proud of the contribution that you all made to the Shadow Lady’s poll. It meant more to me than I could express.

But I’ll get to that later.

The poll itself was a huge help to Arcona and the Battleteam. 5 of 8 members are of the same mind. Arcona = Good, Pervus = Bad. There are a few who think Pravus is right and some who have no loyalties or simply don’t care or hold their loyalties more tightly. Hopefully, you know who you are and have solidified your justifications for the future. As the only person in the group whose sole loyalty is to the Shadow Lady’s whims and who could care less about the Clan as a whole, we could have some fictional fun with this in the future.

At the moment myself and Kat are trying to come up with where to go fictionally, it's a slow process especially with the big changes happening within the Clan but please watch this space for upcoming developments. If you all feel keen poke us and we'll happily accept any help you're willing to give. But most importantly we would love to hear your opinions!

In Closing

As you've noticed, our ranks have thinned a bit since the last report - we work hard to make sure this place is a fun and engaging place for everyone but people will always come and go. For those of you that have stayed and are reading this report, we are always here for you, willing to listen to you and most importantly want you all to be happy. We do hope that we manage this and also hope that if something is bothering you that you're comfortable talking to us no matter what it is. We’re just an IM or email away and will always reply no matter what.

I haven't been back in Shadow Gate for long but I am grateful I came, you guys always manage to put a smile on my face and it means the world to me. I'm seriously proud to be here and am proud of all of you too.

To those of you still reading this, I would like to finish this report off with a huge thank you. To each and every one of you. When I asked for each of you to respond to our Consul’s poll, you all heeded my call. As I watched each name of Shadow Gate fill the spreadsheet, my heart was overwhelmed with something more than pride. I was flattered and overjoyed.

As ridiculous as it may seem, you all helped lift the weight of this position from my shoulders. It was like having each of you by my side and working with me to improve, not just Arcona, but Shadow Gate as well. I hope to see that level of activity again in the future.

Remember, each one of you is a pillar that supports Shadow Gate. Without each member doing their part, there would be no purpose to the Battleteam. I could, instead, be enjoying my time with my boyfriend while he’s here instead of writing a report that, for the most part, won’t be read. I don’t do this for me. I do it for you. For all of you. Because you have all earned a place in my life and in my heart and I care about you and Shadow Gate as a whole.

But without your activity, without you all rising up when needed, Shadow Gate would fade away and our dysFUNctional family would disintegrate. So thank you for rising up, but don’t think this means you get a free pass for the next time Arcona needs you. If anything, it means you need to rise up further, continue to do your best and make Arcona proud.
