The Rainbow Darkness Email Friends

What is this, you ask. Well, this is an email group that will be focused on helping our new members explore the DJB and learn about the unit(s) they are apart of. On a weekly schedule, I will email some tips and gimmicks such as navigating through a certain section of the DJB site or send a wiki page for the members to explore. Screenshots with skillfully edited in circles and squares, will be provided for visual representation if the subject provides for it. The program will be available for those up until Knighthood.

It is with this that I hope we can better acclimate our members to the club. There is potential to expand this integration drive in the future and masters are welcome to provide input or suggestions. Ideas or volunteers are appreciated, just send me an email or pm.

Our wiki revamp powers on. Thank you for those who have and are volunteering your time. Please remember to keep our resident Crocaedile, Kat, up to date. If you are interested in helping, she is the one to contact.

Recruitment Drive!!!

I am excited to announce, again, our House’s new project. As some of you may have noticed, we have been recently graced with a group of promising new joins. And they are making us thirsty for more. With the new movies, cartoons, books, merchandise, etc., Star Wars fans new and old will be feeling the hype. And to help them along in finding our special glade of space wizardry, we are turning to outside social media. Jazz Fingers!

So, let's get down to business. Our goal is to create active, organized, and entertaining promotional accounts via a number of selected social platforms. With which, we plan to share information on what is the DJB and Qel-Droma, house events, featured members’ content, Star Wars franchise hype, etc. A generic blurb will be created for the House accounts which will give a quick introduction to the DJB that will lure in these prospective joins. A similar yet smaller blurb will be made for those who would like to promote on their individual accounts, but wish to take a more passive part. The nominated platforms so far include:

Volunteer Requirements:

• Has at least a general knowledge of the social media platform(s).

(Note: Requirements will be reviewed as a group later on. However, there will be little deviation from what is listed above.)

New Leadership

Since our last report we have had a bit of a leadership shuffle. Ernordeth has risen to take the shoes left behind by Braecen as Quaestor of Galeres. Tamashi has stepped down as Battleteam Leader of Tal’Mahe’Ra, Xenna succeeding him.

Sins III

Some of you have likely heard that Sins III has been pushed back for January. This is to make room for the December DJB-wide events. For those of you who are not familiar with Sins, it is a series of events geared toward building Arcona fictional storyline via a combination of leadership drive and Clan members’ contributing participation via competitions.

Aftermath

Stay tuned for the next Consul report for the follow up on Aftermath. As a reminder, that was the three clan co-op between Arc, Plagueis, and Tarentum. Great work to everyone who participated!

Special Topic: The Gate Keeper Interviews

Celevon Edraven Erinos

Quick note: I’m looking forward to running a series of member interviews within the battle team for the purpose of introducing each character to our new and current members. I hope by the end of this we would learn at least one new thing about each other’s character. So without further ado: Introducing Celevon Edraven!

Who is your character? Tell us a short description of him: species, path/discipline, personality, etc.

Celevon is a human (part Echani, if those were still a thing) with a very svelte build. He has long black hair, mesmerizing silver eyes and stands at roughly six feet in height. Aside from that, he has numerous scars and a number of tattoos, as well as a cybernetic replacement for his left arm from mid-humerus down.

He's a Gray Jedi, in the sense that he doesn't adhere to any particular following or system of beliefs. Celevon believes that the Force is a tool that should be used sparingly and not become dependent upon it. His particular discipline is that of the Shadow, essentially the one that spies, thieves and assassins would pick.

As far as personality goes, Celevon tends to be very closed off and curt to people he doesn't trust. For those he does and when they're behind closed doors, Cel is very snarky/sarcastic. Like most people, he can also be kind and compassionate when he wants to. He has a twisted sense of humor and an even more twisted version of a 'moral compass'. If, however, he should be driven to the point where his control is gone through some manner of torment, then Celevon's darker side reveals itself through an entirely different personality that goes by the name of Kalas. This side of him is basically a sociopath with mild psychotic tendencies... Think the Joker with a little less indiscriminate killing and you have Kalas.

What is your character's relation with the battleteam?

... I think I may have accidentally answered the second one in the previous question. Celevon gets along well with the other members of Shadow Gate, though there are few members he trusts. Hell, Livana is his little sister and he's not sure how to react to that.

Gate Keepers operate under a deep cover alias within the port. What is your character's and why did they choose it?

Celevon's D-CA is Lucian Grey, a highly successful thief and marketer of goods of the more shady variety. He's also leading a growing group of the various thieves and homeless people on Ol'val - though not an actual guild yet, he's still referred to as 'Guildmaster'. Even before he regained his memories, Celevon has always had a tendency toward stealing things and he's comfortable doing jobs of this nature. The fact that most of the money the guild brings in is used to feed and shelter homeless orphans and the like is something he feels good about doing - Before he lost his memories, Celevon (obviously not his birth name) was a street urchin in a very poor part of Corellia. Sometimes he and his family were homeless, though they occasionally had a place to live, but he had to steal to get by.

What is your character's main drive in life? Additionally, within the brotherhood?

In life? Celevon's main drive would be to make the galaxy a better place for his daughter.

What is the most important aspect you believe another writer should take into account when writing your character?

When taking on any kind of mission, Celevon won't just kill indiscriminately. Even when he accepts assassination contracts, it's only those who have committed crimes against children/innocents, drug dealers or... basically, anyone that seems to be beyond redemption.
