Greetings, Gatekeepers!

A Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. True story, I frequently mix up Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas as my mind tries to be politically correct. Anywho, I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are gun ho for 2017 and all it brings!

As we enter 35 ABY, we are looking at an Arcona as a clan fighting against the Grand Master and his goonies under the flag of the White Lotus. House Qel-Droma has built a business negotiation with the Herald and Pirate, Morgan Sorenn, with use of the port. Uji, our PCon, was arrested for acting out of orders and forcing Arcona’s hand in aiding Tarentum and Plagueis. This was the driving point for our lovely Consul to step forward in the shadows and take a stand. No more will we sit on the sidelines. Are you with the Shadow Lady? The Iron Throne? No matter where your loyalties lie, fight!

Shadow Gate News

Our team has been growing at a high rate recently, 17 members total. It is at this time that I want to commend and continue to encourage one of our best qualities as a team: our sense of community. I’ve seen many of you reach a hand out to a fellow Gate Keeper. Our group is welcoming to each other and new members. This is a trait that ay unit can strive the long mile with. Continue aiding your peers, including others, etc., for it will help unify the group as we continue to expand.

Another Important Note: I am taking a leave of absence(LoA) which those of you on telegram have heard. However, I have pushed the date back to the 8th through the 23rd. You heathens have me for an extra weekend, you’re welcome. Tali has kindly volunteered to fill in for me during this time. Please continue being the considerate and respectful lot you are. Don’t make me bring down the hammer when I return. :P

Recruitment Drive!!!

Reminder! We have a House recruitment project in the works! This will be a project that hinges on active consistent effort in order to keep afloat. To recap what it entails, here is the excerpt from the last report.

“So, let's get down to business. Our goal is to create active, organized, and entertaining promotional accounts via a number of selected social platforms. With which, we plan to share information on what is the DJB and Qel-Droma, house events, featured members’ content, Star Wars franchise hype, etc. A generic blurb will be created for the House accounts which will give a quick introduction to the DJB that will lure in these prospective joins. A similar yet smaller blurb will be made for those who would like to promote on their individual accounts, but wish to take a more passive part. The nominated platforms so far include:

Volunteer Requirements:

• Has at least a general knowledge of the social media platform(s).
• A willingness to expand that knowledge in their free time.

• Ability to work cooperatively with a team, good communication skills, and a fun loving attitude.

(Note: Requirements will be reviewed as a group later on. However, there will be little deviation from what is listed above.)

Sins III

It’s still coming!!! Sins III is pushed back for the 16th! This is because our awesome leaders have been busy in rl and want to ensure Arconans are given a deserving quality event to do. Until then, go tackle some of the many comps there are, freshen the memory on the Sins fiction updates, game with your buds, etc. If you wish to run a Clan or lower unit comp in this new gap, go put it through the chain of command(Contact Terran and Kat for approval). It must end before the 31st of January so members can focus on Sins.

For those of you who are not familiar with Sins, it is a series of events geared toward building Arcona fictional storyline with a combination of leadership drive and Clan members’ contributing participation through competitions.
