March Isles – Judecca

8 Hours earlier

Order 1138 had been initiated. It was supposedly only a drill but Jurdan wasn’t too sure about that. He had never before heard of this order or been part of anything this massive. Shadow Guard, and the entire clan, had been ordered to get to their personal ships or civilian transports that were waiting on the landing pad. They were told to leave what could be spared. Jurdan was thankful that after Delak had died he had moved all of his brother’s possessions to the Demolisher. He himself barely had anything to his name. What little he had was left over from his time on Corulag. Jurdan was the son of Corulag’s King but his mother was a servant. Because of this he was never afforded the same things as his brother, more to the point he had not even met his brother until he found him in Scholae Palatinae years later. The only way he was able to make way into the clan was to become one of the palace guards for the Emperor. He had been taught the ways of the dark side of the Force and he had earned Delak’s previous position because of it.

Jurdan hurried off to his ship and loaded up provisions for a trip to their medical station, IMS Tipoca II. Jurdan had only been told that they would get the coordinates for the station once they were off the planet. The station had been kept secret so that no one could attack it during operations. It was now to be used for a fallback position for the entire clan.

A beep came from Jurdan’s communication terminal onboard the Demolisher as he was finishing his preparations. He flipped a few switches on the lit up panel. “Jurdan, report in.” It was the voice of Lexiconus, his Quaestor.

“Jurdan here sir. Final preparations are completed Lex. I’m ready for lift off,” he stated quickly.

“Good man. We have limited space on the civilian craft for Scholae members at this time. I need to ask you to help some of Shadow Guard with a ride,” Lexiconus asked knowing what the answer would be.

“Of course sir. Who needs a ride?” Jurdan asked.

“There are only a couple. Drake, Reiyden, and Kyo are all currently without a personal ship and you have one of the biggest and fastest. I know it will be tight for a bit but you are the closest ship to our HQ still,” Lexiconus finished.

“Very well Sir I will communicate to them my location and get them onboard as soon as possible,” Jurdan finished as he cut the comm line. He used the sensors on his ship to see how many people were left in Imperium’s HQ and saw only three in the Shadow Guard barracks.

Jurdan punched a button on his comm panel and linked up with the battle team’s PA system. “Shadow Guard Leader to remaining members in the barracks. Grab what you can and get to my ship immediately. We are taking off boys.” Jurdan cut the comm again.

About fifteen minutes had passed but Kyo, Reiyden, and Drake had all made their way to his Infiltrator. “Welcome aboard the Demolisher gents. This will be your home until we get to our destination.” Jurdan said acting as Captain of the ship.

“Jurdan what’s going on here?” Reiyden asked as the others shook their heads in agreement to the question.

“We do as we are told. Order 1138 is the highest order we have to follow in this clan. It is a general order to abandon our holds in the Cocytus system. This is most likely a training exercise to make sure we are ready in case we are no longer able to hold our own,” Jurdan explained.

“So we will probably be back sometime soon then,” Kyo added in.

“I sure hope so, because I left quite a bit in the barracks,” Drake chimed in.

“I can’t say for sure when lads. For now we have to go,” Jurdan finished as he headed for the cockpit followed closely by what part of his team was with him. They all took seats behind him as he started up the engine and completed the preflight checks.

IMS Tipoca II – Present Time

Jurdan stood in the makeshift war room for Shadow Guard. All of his team had been accounted for with Wagglehorn, Shadow Guard’s newest Lasat, bringing up the rear. He had gotten lost getting to the space station. They were in a briefing with Lexiconus about what had happened but a few hours prior.

“Men I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but Judecca and the entire Cocytus system is now ashes,” Lexiconus started. “We have all been displaced from our homes but we will push forward. We don’t know what there is to come for us in the future but Scholae will move on. We are here on this station for now. In case of a code 1138 we are told to make for our secret medical station and to stay put awaiting the Emperor’s commands.”

“This is too crazy Lex. Our homes, our friends. All those civilian families and the army members we left behind. They are all dead?” Jurdan asked without knowing what to do.

“It is so. We will avenge them in time. For now, we stay the course,” Lexic said solemnly.

Greetings Shadow Guard,

We have come to the start of a new era in Scholae. Recently as outlined in the Voice’s DB wide fiction, our Grand Master Pravus has decided to go and knock us back into the stone age. That’s right, for those who haven’t heard yet the entire Cocytus System is no more than flaming worlds now. Our headquarters and everything else is now in shambles. We are now residing on an old Medical Station and have only a Victory Star Destroyer. From here we don’t know where we are going except that Xen has several competitions to help us start our new direction. I’ll detail them later on.

We also have some house competitions hosted by Lexiconus and yours truly. They have just become active and you should check them out. They look very fun and I know I would do all the things if I could.

As you can see I created a new banner for our Battle Team and I have also created some new breaks. I hope they make the report stand out a little bit more.

You stumble home to your dorm after a long day of work, only to find that the door is unlocked. You step inside and there is a CSP Member burrowing through your stuff.

Prompt:

Your ship is pulled out of hyperspace by a random pirate gang with an interdictor cruiser module attached to a freighter. Having just abandoned your entire fleet in the Cocytus System you only have the civilian ships in your fleet to try and get away. The ships are older and have limited offensive capabilities and low defensive capabilities.

You need to figure out a way to disable the interdictor field and help your fleet escape and make its final jump to your original destination.

Puzzle - Z-Rox Date: 13th March - 3rd April Organiser: Lexiconus & Jurdan Level: 4th

Prompt:

Your console begins playing a transmission, however the transmission is difficult to read. Using a singular line, the letters are scanned through this and the shape of the letter is projected. You must decipher the code that is being sent, but do so quickly. For this isn’t the only console obtaining this message, and you are not the only person reading it.
