Field Journal

Seng Karash, Aeotherian

I received a notification today while patrolling the industrial sector in Seng Karash. I have been reassigned as the Battleteam Leader of Shadow’s Bane, House Marka Ragnos. I returned to the Lion’s Tooth to gather my belongings and to notify my superiors of my departure. They were already informed of the developments, to no surprise. Some have asked if I am saddened to leave my first house, Shar Dakhan. It is a bittersweet feeling to, in a sense, part ways with my Devil’s Shroud comrades. But I am a Sadowan above all else. I look forward to the future, now more a part of Naga Sadow than ever before.

Notes from the BTL

As this is my first BTL report, I will use this section to introduce myself. I am Aul Celsus, Gray Jedi Knight. I was until today a member of Devil's Shroud in House Shar Dakhan, but as mentioned above, I have always seen myself as your Sadowan Brother. I am excited and motivated by the opportunity to lead this Battleteam and am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any comments or concerns regarding the Battleteam, my leadership, or your place in the DJB in general. If I cannot answer satisfactorily, I will make sure someone who can is notified.

Major News

DJB

• Major changes in the Brotherhood Holidays structure. GM Birthdays and the Exodus will now be replaced by the Official Star Wars Holiday (May 4th) and the anniversary of the ratification of the first living Covenant (December 16th).

• New FIST report is out. Important updates to gaming comp awards, especially single player games, as well as PvO caps, and Destiny and the Division updates.

• Prophet Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor has resigned as Consul of Clan Taldryan. The new Consul is Prophet Howlader Taldrya.

CNS

• CNS reports from the Consul and Rollmaster.

• Aexod Burgoo has resigned as Shadow’s Bane BTL, the new BTL is myself.

Activity Report

As Aexod recently published a report, I will hold off on an activity update until the next report. This section will describe only the quantifiable activity updates (courses, competitions, awards, promotions, etc.) for each member of Shadow’s Bane. I understand that some of you are quite active, without actually accumulating quantifiable metrics of that activity. This is something I am aware of, and will address with each of you personally (more later in the report).

Competition Updates

These are highlights of the competitions going right now that I have identified as either highly relevant to the progress of the Clan/House/Battleteam, or are generally low-hanging fruit for activity/participation and do not necessarily encompass all competitions available. Check the competitions listing for more.

• The Summit is holding a multi-component competition called Rest and Relaxation Marka Ragnos Style.

• Sang is managing a Run-On called Aftermath, a follow-up to our recent Operation: FIRESTORM event. Here are the Discourse threads: Team Macron, Locke, Shikyo, Jade, and Sang

• A number of Blackguard positions are up for grabs, check your emails for the discussion regarding those positions. A competition for Tasha’s BG is active.

• The last Wade into the Meme Stream is going right now.

• The last Super Sporcle Series is also going right now.

Challenge to the Battleteam

Every report I will provide a small challenge. These will be low-overhead activities that will hopefully provide you some entertainment at the end of what I hope will be thrilling reports, and may be impactful on future BT decisions. My challenge to the Battleteam this report is:

• I will be sending every member of the Battleteam a personal email within the next 24-48 hours to get to know you and let you know a bit about myself. Basically, let’s get a dialogue going about what I/we can do to make your experience in the DJB fantastic. Your challenge will be to respond to the email, even if to say that you have nothing to say. This will help me greatly in identifying where they may be deficits to be addressed, or things we are doing great that we need to preserve. This is about you and your enjoyment.

Until Next Time

We have a feud coming up next month, which I hope Shadow’s Bane will dominate in! After that, expect to see a lot from my office in terms of competitions (of all types) to unite us a team and get the juices flowing.

Lastly, I want thank Aexod and both the House and Clan summits for being supportive in passing on the reigns of Shadow’s Bane to myself. I intend to keep the ship moving in the right direction and to make you proud of this transition.
