Authorities think they have uncovered what could be a massive black-market arms operation within the Menat Ombo district of New Tython ; possibly linked to the explosion at the Olympic stadium construction site that killed one and wounded eleven last month. Police declined to comment on the exact details of the operation but a source familiar with the organization said “It’s pretty big. Between the three of them; they got a good thing going.”

Also under investigation is the militia group known as the “Dagger of Kaifu.” Authorities believe they are “the ones that carried out the bombing,” according to a source familiar with the case. Members of the group are wanted in connection with various acts of extortion, kidnapping and bombings against the people of Menat Ombo but all attempts to track them down have been unsuccessful.

Aiding the Police in the investigation are Jedi from House Odan-Urr’s Strike-Team Ooroo. With their assistance, the “Dagger of Kaifu’s” leader, Som’bra, was apprehended after a raid on a favorite hangout of his, the Tython Tavern, early yesterday morning. Members of the Jedi S.P.E.A.R. team were called in to aid the Police with the raid.

Unless sufficient evidence or a confession can be established, he will be released within the next 72 hours.

This incident has also halted the construction of the Olympic stadium; future site of the “Jedi Games” that were set to begin this month. A spokesperson for Orion Engineering, the company hired to build the new stadium, in a holocom interview declined to give much detail of their future plans for the site but issued a brief statement:

“Orion Engineering is deeply saddened by the events of that day and our hearts go out to the families of all those who died. Construction of the stadium will not continue until those responsible are brought to justice. We cannot afford any more losses to the Yissik Holdings family.”

Despite their sympathy to the families; neither Orion engineering or their parent company, Yissik Holdings Company has contributed much to relief efforts.

In response to another possible attack against the people of Menat Ombo, House Odan-Urr has sent the Knights of Allusis to aid in patrolling the city. “We want people to feel safe but just to be aware of and report any suspicious persons or activity” said Knights Commander Turel Sorenn.

In addition to the Knights, The Disiples of Baas have been providing medical care and disaster relief to the workers and families affected by the attack. Anyone wishing to volunteer or donate to the fund may contact Chief Consular Nathan Deciarus directly or by stopping by any one of the camps.
