Happy Spring Mosquito Season!

Okay, we may have only found one in the house - but one is enough! Enough I say!

Now, we’ve had a bit of a shift in leadership the past month or so, with our new Proconsul Uji! He will be taking over the mantle for our stern ice maiden, Arcia. We thank you for your time and pray you draw us beautiful robes and weapons with the Herald in the future!

We also have our lovely Celevon stepping down as our Quaestor, and consequently the summit is accepting applications for the open position. Let’s give him a big pat on the back for all he’s done!

We also have a big report released by the Shadow Lady herself, go check that out here. The report contains the results for the Poll that most of us took and reveal the Clans thoughts and feelings on the recent update to the DB’s official storyline. Grand Master Pravus has annihilated the Jedi conclave upon New Tython, decimating their forces and leaving them upon the cusp of destruction. Dun-dun-dun! Go read it here!

Basically, the polls revealed that as a Clan we are more inclined towards the Gray Path than any other Clan, fairly balanced with our opinions about the ARCOU alliance and our loyalties overwhelmingly lay with Arcona. More importantly, the Clan collectively disagrees with Pravus’ actions against the so called Undesirables(which three of our team are >.>)- which gives us pause for thought about what our team could face in the future.

Competitions

This month sees some interesting fiction competitions that I’d like you all to have a look at. The new step forward in the Brotherhood’s storyline has gotten everyone the itch for writing and it’s my job to help you channel it!

First up is a competition with the perfect mindset after reading about the attack on New Tython. Ever wondered how your character deals with the genocide of our allies? You have the opportunity to explore that in Reactions, brought to us by our BTS Zakath. It’s only a 500 word minimum to speak volumes about how your character thinks and feels. I’m already working on my entry and love the depth of inspiration it has brought out in me. Hit it up!

Perhaps you fancy a bit of mystery and intrigue in your fiction and humour an interesting ‘what if?’. Alignment Shift gives the opportunity to explore what happens when a Clan suddenly switches sides. In our case, this means varying shades of Gray but to an extreme that you feel opposes the current temperament of the Clan. Judged by the Official Voice Rubric and a minimum of 500 words is required.

Ever wondered what it would be like to write a fiction with a member from Galeres? Well now you can find out! Zakath has released another doozy of a fiction comp, allowing two members of opposite Houses to partner up with and complete a mission together of your choosing! Partnering up has a 1000 minimum word count(though split between the two participants makes it 500 each). Do the thing!

And finally, our last fiction comp is a nice change in tempo. Dungeons and Krayt Dragons lets us pull our characters into a High Fantasy world of your choosing! Whether you wish to meet Hobbits or fight a Dragon, you can do it all at 500 words minimum! Do eeet!

Our final two comps are a bit of a switch up. If you fancy something quick and fun to earn Crescents for that next promotion, try Crack the Code IV. Get ready for some happy ciphering! And lastly, we have an enjoyable Graphics competition in the form of THIS is your weapon! You will eat with it! you will sleep with it!. Catchy name, right? Draw your most beloved and well-used weapon and share it with us!

We had an update with Zakath’s post and will soon have another by our new member, Rins’zler! We also have Celevon joining Omega Team, so I am very excited to see how they’ll work together! There’s still plenty of spaces on either team but they both very different tasks! Team Alpha will work to enter the Hotel complex through the front, relying on charm, wit and manipulation to find a dreaded whistleblower to Qel-Droma’s secret goings on. Team Omega is tasked with placing charges at key locations and dealing with any and all security Forces from the service level up. Sound interesting? Sign up here and get started! SCREW MOSQUITOES- ahem.

We have arrived at an exciting time in the DB, with the dangerous consequences of our Grand Master’s actions just around the corner. Any marked Undesirable are free sport- with our own Consul threatened with a shameful death. If there was ever a chance to insert your character into the ebb and flow of the Brotherhood’s overall storyline, it is now. Check out the competitions that let you explore this opportunity and stand out! We are new and perhaps a little green behind the ears, but talent trumps all! Show everyone what you are made of and make us proud!

My dear friends,

As Maxi noted above, we are living in exciting times for the Brotherhood, with Darth Pravus out to finally exterminate the Jedi and finish his Purge of the Undesirables. The Inquisitorius has agents everywhere working to root out Pravus’ enemies, while mercenaries are hired to quietly eliminate them. The military of the Brotherhood has been quietly purged of disloyal elements and what is left is Loyalist, loyal to the Iron Throne.

If ever there was a time to get into the Brotherhood and Arconan storylines, it is now, my friends! Everything is in flux, and with the new canon slowly being developed, we have a lot of leeway open to us in how our characters forge their paths in this new galaxy! So join us, participate in the exciting competitions available to you all, and prepare as we begin the march to War!
