Celebrate good times, c’mon!

So, Star Wars Celebration happened last weekend, and there was a lot of celebrating going on for sure. We had a few members of our esteemed Dark Council getting their geek on and sending back reports, while also having our resident socializer posting up a ton of news as well.

There was the teaser trailer to end all teaser trailers. Information on the next Battlefront game was sent out to the masses. We had season 2 information for Rebels released (as seen above), as well some information on some of the books and comics coming down the pike.

The next Celebration location was also released. Spoiler, it’s in London from July 16-18, 2016 and tickets are already on sale.

Thar be Competitions!

In a week’s time we should hopefully be releasing the first in a series of monthly competitions for your consumptions. While we had a number of ideas ourselves on what types of competitions to run, we will be very much listening to everyone in the Clan as well and trying to focus on the areas that all of you wanted us to focus on.

Until then however, there are a ton of competitions going on right now in the club. Howie has detailed all of them below, but I just wanted to point everyont to a Tal-based competition running right now called Bogan, Moon of Terror. There’s a fiction event, flash game and regular gaming for you to participate in.

If you’re looking for something a little different, there is a DB-wide fiction event where you get to write in the Star Wars Rebels timeline. So go and get your fiction-on with Canon Fodder #1 - The Inquisitor

Rubbing the Tummies

Just wanted to give a shout-out to a few people who have stepped up over the past week. Our fearless leader, Herr Yacko, snagged himself a Steel Cross and was elevated to GMRG X. I believe he also received one of those new, fancy Sage degrees. A man of many talents he is. Kir also found himself the recipient of a Steel Cross for his work in the CoJ.

We’ve also had Rathus and Howie whoring it up on the CF front, mostly with Diablo 3.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to welcome to new members to the Clan. Naomie Jadon and Daniel Trath have both come to us straight form the Shadow Academy. If you see them around, wave hello and make them feel at home!

Wide World of DB

It was a...very slow week around the DB. I guess everyone decided it was a good time to take a nap after all that Star Wars excitement? The only DCer to get information out was the First, with news on Gorefest & Mobile Platforms as well as information on Star Wars comics coming out online through the Marvel Unlimited subscription package.

Outside of that...well, there’s a BTL spot open in one of the Odan-Urr Houses. And yup, that was it. If you slept through the week then no worries, you’re still ahead of the game
