Keep Calm and Carry On

Ladies and gentlemen, take a deep breath and relax. Today marks the 2nd day of April. The shenanigans and tomfoolery of yesterday can now be put behind us, and we can continue on living our lives, waiting in fear for whatever prank the Grand Master and his team of evil scheming Seneschal elves are cooking up for us.

It was a good little selection provided to us this year... the Dark Council terrified us with visions of Pay To Win DBing, Wally threatened to abandon us, Kaz told us about SWTOR's New Starfighter Class and Goat assaulted our eyes with an artist's imagining of a naked wookiee.

But, the fun is over: rest assured the DB isn't going to start fleecing it's members for shiny baubles, Wally's still here, and poor poor Chewbacca didn't get shaved. I'm still not sure that SWTOR isn't giving us giant rocks in space though... you never can tell.

The Fist Brings us the Gaming Updates

We've got a fair amount of news from the Fist this week, outlining the updates to the Pendant of Blood Wiki Article concerning how you can earn PoBs from Diablo 3.

On the gaming competition front, on top of this month's Gatekeeper competition, there's a lot of Gaming Comps for you to take part in:

• Diablo Monster Eradicator: Slay demons and earn the most CFs over the course of April as possible from that platform to win!
• Monthly Mobile: Smash Hit: Get the farthest total distance in the Smash Hit App to win. All participants will receive 5 CF.
• A Night at the Casino: A Competition run by DEF Brain from House Odan-Urr. The highest PVP score for Pazaak Matches played between April 1st and April 15th wins. Minimum of 36 matches required for participation credit.
• Rampaging Raiders: A competition to get everyone into the raiding mood. Join up with your fellow DBer and go murderlize some raid bosses in SWTOR. If you're interested in getting into raiding in SWTOR with the DB, feel free to contact Armags our Clan's representative in game.
• April's Gorefest will to start on Friday, April 18th. As a reminder, the requirement to be at GMRG II to participate in Gorefest has been removed. Any member of the GMRG can compete and earn bonus CFs for any Gaming activities

Praetor to the Herald Still Open

The Herald is still looking for her new Praetor! Traditionally Praetors are given on the job training, with an eye to being named as a successor one day in the future. If you're looking at taking your career in the DB to the next level, and have a desire/flair for the graphical arts, be sure to email your application to Socks.

The deadline was recently extended until April 8th so you still have time to get your applications in!

Submit Your Photos, and maybe Become a Star Wars Star

SBM Hades of Tarentum posted a request for other DBers to share with him (and possibly all of starwarsdom) their photos from real world meetings you may have had with other members of the Brotherhood. This is all being done to accompany an article in the Star Wars Insider.

I've been around to see the DB (and the EH before it) get a lot of publicity from exposure like this in the past. It's always been a huge help to the club. So, I strongly suggest if you have any photos of you and your friends wang chunning around in a Jedi Robe and are comfortable with sharing? Let Hades know. This could be huge for us.

Star Wars Mobile Games? Yes please!

If you're lucky enough to be rocking an Android/Apple/Windows Phone, and like Star Wars, there's a new game out on mobile devices that is surely going to just ruin your productivity or attention span in class. Star Wars: Assault Team is now available on those devices.

Taldryan Gatekeeper March Results Delayed

"Hey Yacks, it's April, why the hell don't we know who won March's Gatekeeper competition?"

Good question, rhetorical person! Suffice it to say, I'm aware of this, and am waiting on a couple little things before I announce the winner. What I can say is that the currently ongoing April Gatekeeper trials are going to have a little added zest once I finally do get around to announcing the winner.

Oh, and probably some trash talking. There's always trash talking.
